Dear folks,
I have experienced a mixdown issue when using certain VST instruments, specifically "Native Instruments Akoustik Piano" (they use recorded sample sounds).
When >playing back< a midi-recording in Mulab using the beforementioned VST instrument, everything sounds perfeclty awesome. However, when mixing down the stuff to WAV, many scores are missing, pedal events are partly missing, and most notably the tones do NOT fade away normally but instead end abruptly!!
Again: This only occurs when using Akoustik Piano plugin. (other e.g. buildt-in VST instruments work fine).
It's definitely not the Piano VST itself since it mixed down fine in Cakewalk's Sonar.
--> Is there any way to get rid of this, perhaps a "real-time mixdown" option!?
Thanks and regards.
PS: I'm using MuLab 4.4.6 32-bit (free) on a Windows 7 Pro 64 bit machine.
VST Instrumetns: Playback is fine, Mixdown is creapy. Real-time mixdown needed?

This sounds similar to a problem in some version of Kontakt I had. I raised it with NI and they first tried to say it wasn't their problem, then accepted that it was. I think it was fixed at some point during the Kontakt 2 lifecycle or in Kontakt 3. (It was back in 2006 / 2007, anyway.) AFAIR, it was some interaction between the host and the VST as, like you, I got different effects in different hosts. However, it wasn't just LUNA (what MuLab was called at the time).
