Hi,

I've been playing around with Zebra for a little while and absolutely love it, so congratulations to Urs and all those involved for producing such a wonderful toy! I spent a little time yesterday looking at the various parameters in the standard envelopes (ENV1, ENV2 etc.) and was wondering why the F/R parameter was implemented differently from the other time-based parameters such as Attack, Decay and Release?

If I set the range of the envelope to a tempo-based setting, say 1/1, then the settings of the A,D and R knobs allow me to scale the duration of those stages from anywhere between instant at 0 to the full range at 100 (in this case, a full bar). Thus, it goes from shortest to longest, 0-100.

From what I can gather with the F/R parameter, this behaviour is inverted. The closer to 0, the closer to the full range; the closer to 100, the shorter the stage. Thus, it goes from longest to shortest, 0.01-99.99 (settings of 0 and 100 do nothing).

Was there a specific reason for implementing it this way? I realise that the knob is bipolar, but that doesn't explain it (it goes from 0-100 on either side so 100 could still represent the full range).

Also, I was wondering if there are any plans to implement a frequency readout for filter cutoff values? I know the reasoning behind having it the way you do, but it would be really nice to have the option to switch to a frequency-based setting.

Cheers.
