Just demoing the Mux VST in Studio One v2 and have noticed that when hooking up the Thesys step sequencer to a synth within the Mux, when play is pressed on Thesys the first note is not played...it does play when playback loops back to the start of the pattern. Only noticed this happen when used with the Mux VST, not when Thesys is used directly on a track in Studio One.

Sorry... stupid me... I was just fooled by the look of the cursor. When it is possible to change the window size in one dimension it should not look like a finger! Standards are there for a reason... ;o)

I quickly checked this using Thesys inside MUX Vst inside MuLab and all seems to work fine. I'll try to find the time to repeat this test in S1. If others can repeat this test in S1 and/or other hosts, that would be great.

Bump...I sent an email direct to mutools about this a few days back and received no response. I posted here to see if I could get an answer, as it is a big issue for my particular needs that there is this issue with Thesys. I'm using the 64-bit version of Mux and Thesys...

No...just testing the demo out and noticed this issue with Thesys. As my main need for Mux is to chain Thesys and synths together and keep them within one track (S1 requires multiple tracks to chain midi plugs and synths), this issue would be quite important in making a decision whether to buy or not.

Actually, further testing would indicate that the problem is Thesys...seems to manifest this problem in other hosts, so I need to contact Sugar Bytes about this...

Thanks for letting this now! I was taking steps to setup S1 in order to test this, but thanks to your feedback this spares me some time (for the many other tasks). Hopefully SB will fix it soon so you can continue making the music you want.

As background info: Note that the MUX itself also contains modules that can generate modulation/controller/parameter value sequences which you can route to whatever you want. See the Multi-Point Envelope inside the Deep Editor. This module can generate complex modulation output. This modulation signal can then be translated into MIDI CC or parameter values using the MIDI Controller Generator and Parameter Event Generator modules. The next generation MUX will even have more of such features.
