Please let that be all the colors and sizes of banners.
Anybody got any Uhbik poetry?
I'm working on one, rhyming Uhbik with Philip K. Dick (K. is for Kindred, I just learned), but it's just not flowin' like I'd like with iambic parameters, alembic pentameters and all.
How's about freestyle? Whoop that Uhbik? It's hard out here for a Uhbik? Sorry, I watched part of Hustle and Flow the other night.

Uhbik multi-band distortion would be nice, even though we already have so many to choose from. Still I would like to see a dedicated distortion/saturation uhbik of some kind to help DESTROY audio sources.

Okay, we can just discuss Uhbik if you want to. I'm pretty much fine with it the way it is, except for bug fixes and optimization. But, there's suppose to be a killer compressor in the pipeline, etc. I'd just like to see some progress, I guess. There don't need to be a bunch of new ones, though. Part of my evil plan here was to nicely prod, provoke and annoy toward that end, as well as raise awareness and have some fun. Please use this thread for anything Uhbik related.

A compressor for Uhbik is in its early planning stages.
The Uhbik AdWords campaign has a slightly too high budget, as have our others. It'll become less annoying soon.

It's not annoying to me at all. It does seem to be following me around now, but I can think of worse things. The banners and what ever you call the square one are quite nice. I just meant by "please let that be all, etc." that I was tired of posting them here with the intermediate tinypic image hosting step and all.
Since it sounds like the compressor is not eminent, how about a maintenance release that fixes the denormal issue and some of the other little problems you and others have mentioned. I mean you're going to be selling a metric crap tonne of them anyway from all the ads, right?
If I were to request one feature it would be a X10 button for the grain size in Uhbik G. That shouldn't be too hard, huh? Also, pitch is different between the two different shifting modes in G. Maybe that could be addressed as well. That's my most used Uhbik. Thanks!

Fortunately, that doesn't work with Urs - believe me!antithesist wrote:Part of my evil plan here was to nicely prod, provoke and annoy toward that end...

If we're talking fixes // maintenance release, I'm still getting white-hot pops and blasts of noise when switching certain presets, mostly on the Runciter, but others too. Be nice to not have to worry about that. For the nerves, and all

Fortunately or unfortunately? Thanks, though. I'm still running 1.1 because of the noted problems with 1.2. Uhbik 1.1 looks to be nearly three years old. I know explanations have been made in other threads, which I appreciate, and that synthesizers are probably way more than half of the business.Howard wrote:Fortunately, that doesn't work with Urs - believe me!antithesist wrote:Part of my evil plan here was to nicely prod, provoke and annoy toward that end...
At least the company is still in business and is growing, and the parts of 1.1 that I use seem to work okay on my current but aging system. That's more than can be said of some software that I've purchased, and some of that much more recently.
Okay, we can go back to patience and fun now. But again, please feel free to post anything Uhbik here, or elsewhere if anyone prefers. Just please do it. Save the Uhbiks!

I guess there are some RE Uhbiks out and we should welcome them, at least for politeness sake. I do like the CV notion in Reason, though I've never used it, and have no current intention to. Are they going to keep rolling out one at a time for awhile? Our multi-format/cross-platform OG Uhbiks are needin' some love, too. Please don't go ios after this, or at least, do the original Uhbies first.

As I said, no worries. We're working on a large bunch of updates. The Rack Extensions "happen" almost without any extra doing from our side - it's mostly outsourced. I'm fixing steppy parameters inbetween (needed for a long time outstanding promise) and I'm quite sure that I fixed any chance for denormals to cause harm.antithesist wrote:I guess there are some RE Uhbiks out and we should welcome them, at least for politeness sake. Meanwhile Sascha is working on a compressor for Uhbik which we expect some time next year. And of course we might stuff some of our effects design experience from Diva back into an Uhbik or two.

Cool! I haven't tried Diva, to be honest, but while exploring ACE's FX, I was thinking: this could work as an Uhbik quite nicely. Although I must admit that I'm only now coming to really appreciate Uhbik-F. I must have set it up much too carefully, I guess.Urs wrote:antithesist wrote:And of course we might stuff some of our effects design experience from Diva back into an Uhbik or two.
Urs
Really looking forward to any new Uhbik addition!

Great news! More Uhbiks alwasys welcome. Hopefully you have some weird and wonderfuls as well and bread and butter 'a la' compressors....
Though a more 'straight up' delay would be a nice addition too.
