Hello. Just tried out the Mdrummer demo.
Amazing. The editing possibilities effects etc etc .
What I couldn't find was the "ordinary" parameters for doing things like:
I have snare, it consists of 6 samples/velocities. Assign these to a key/pad
and set wich velocities these should be on.
First I have to import the soundfiles into the mdrummer library right ?

But, trying to figure out how to do that I tried to dissect one of the factory drum sounds "Pearl aluminum snare".
It sounds like it's several different samples. When looking at the layer window it looks like it's only one ? Is it the modulation features that makes it sound like that, is it in fact only ONE sample ?
On the other hand there's some blue markings /stripes in the velocity field wich looks like zone indications.
In short: It seems like this "Pearl aluminum Snare" is a compiled drumsound where I can not go into detail and find the individual samples ? It's Locked.
Am i right or wrong?

Reason for my interest in MDrummer- I 'm looking for an alternative to my NI Battery. Wich works fine but is annoyingly slow to load up + other issues.
But maybe the two are way to different from eachother that you can't compare them ?

Hi, thank you! The Pearl Almunium... is actually a multisample. It is a proprietary format, which consists of many velocity layers and alterning hits. But you can have velocity layers of course. There are many way to do that, but the easiest thing is to select several samples in your file manager and drag & drop them into the drum (either in drumset editor, or in the pad editor on the main screen after you clicked "pad mode"). MDrummer will create the layers automatically, what you will want to do with them afterwards is up to you ;).
