can't play with my midi keyboard on any tracks, after adding a new track with "MUX VST Synth".
i've downloaded MUX Vst 1.0.38.
i have created a normal new project and added a track with the "Cakewalk Soundcenter Synth" and can play notes with my midi keyboard, but after adding a new track with "MUX VST Synth" it's not possible to play any notes with my keyboard on any track.
deleting "MUX VST Synth" track doesn't help, only exit project and create a new project.

I've tested the MUX Vst in Sonar X1 and everything works as expected here, no problems. You're not the first one reporting a prob between Sonar and MUX so i assume there must be some issue somewhere, maybe system dependent. As MUX Vst works fine in most hosts i assume it's something Sonar specific. But as the test i did here with Sonar X1 does not reveal a prob, i can't go any further in this atm, but will keep an eye on it. Luckily there is a MUX Vst demo version that users can try before they buy.

1. play a recorded track
2. add synthesizer MUX as an easy instrument track
message window pops up with message:
Audio-Dropout - audio engine was stopped unexpected
as i noticed ASIO driver icon on windows status line is changed
after deleting the MUX track and press play ASIO driver works how expected.

Thanks for your continued feedback on this. Am i right when i conclude it's a Sonar issue?

i'm surprised that DUNE works with SONAR X1 LE but not MUXmutools wrote:Thanks for your continued feedback on this. Am i right when i conclude it's a Sonar issue?
with Cakewalk VST scan,
DUNE has max 0 input ports and 2 output ports and
MUX has max 4 input ports and 8 output ports?

Indeed MUX Vst has 4 audio inputs (2 stereo ins) and 8 audio outputs (4 stereo outs).Hermu wrote:MUX has max 4 input ports and 8 output ports?
I don't understand why MUX Vst works well in one version of Sonar (and almost all other hosts i checked) but not in another version of Sonar.
