Wondering if anyone has 128x128 PNG files that represent u-he software, that I can download and use for Logic Pro? In Logic - you can assign images (png files) to tracks. There are png files for most other software synths, that have been made available. On one of the Logic forums I frequent, they have been pulling together png files and making them available. Havent seen anything worthwhile there -> http://www.logicprohelp.com/index.php?f ... ns&start=0 for the u-he stuff. Anyway - it really cleans up the interface to use png files that are not stock..
Are there official icons for Diva or Zebra, or any of the others?
thanks

I think it makes sense to have not just one picture per synth, but more with various types of icons representing various types of sound. I. e. not just a stripey one for Zebra, but a series of pictures representing bass, lead, pad and so on.jdoo wrote:Wondering if anyone has 128x128 PNG files that represent u-he software, that I can download and use for Logic Pro? My current project uses Zebra on approximately 80% of tracks. So just Zebra icons on tracks
aren't too informative for me.
So I think it is better to design an array of pictures: icons of synthesizers, icons of sound types and compose all variations of it.

I guess it is a matter of how you arrange tracks for your music. In my templates, I identify instruments by section / color. If I slide a zebra AU into a percussion section, it will already be among other channels that are groups by yellow, if it becomes part of a orchestral section, it will be part of my blue section, and so on. Having png files which identify the sound source is partially just a convenience function, but something I started doing a while ago (and got used to).
Back to the request - If anyone knows a source for good PNG files for the various u-he products (128 x 128), it would be appreciated. Thanks!

Here's one I made for Zebra a while ago (not the best but it gets the job done)jdoo wrote:I guess it is a matter of how you arrange tracks for your music. I might remake this one and take a crack at some other U-he synths soon

Why not just take a screenshot of each synth and resize it?

I tried that - but they png files end up getting very squished (indistinguishable). If you look at the link I posted above, you'll see quite a few vendors have taken the time to create custom png files/graphics. Not all software has logos. Screenshots work, but you may as well use stock graphics if youre just trying to fill a spot on a channelstrip.aMUSEd wrote:Why not just take a screenshot of each synth and resize it?

You can always use the icons I made on the PatchLib. They can be resized by apple's Preview.app to 128x128.jdoo wrote:I tried that - but they png files end up getting very squished (indistinguishable). You may find what you need on the Reaper forum : Reaper allows similar track icon, and someone might have posted it somewhere (?).
