There seems to be something weird going on with Zebra AU inside Maschine 1.8 (64 bit)
Basically Zebra settings are messed up when reopening a project and I need to reload patches for them to sound right again.
I've tried narrowing it down but couldn't find exactly which settings were messed up, all I can hear is that the sound is distorted and the envelope release seems longer.
It's probably a Maschine issue but I haven't noticed it with other plugins.
Anyone experiencing the same thing ?

FYI someone has reported similar problems with Zebralette on Gearslutz.

Hi,
We encountered a similar bug with Alchemy when restoring the performance section controls in NI Maschine, and I noticed it also affected Zebra XY pads when comparing the behaviour.
We spoke to the head of QA at NI and they are aware of the problem, working on a bug fix. I think it's related to the order in which Maschine reads the chunk data and passes it to the plugin - it's setting the controls after the data has been passed to the plugin, rather than before.
Peace,
Andy.

A Maschine is on its way to u-he headquarters and a flock of u-he serial number went to the other end of town. I think this will be fixed quickly

Still no fix in sight from NI ?
They're taking their sweet time even though it's a rather critical bug.

Sorry, we haven't been able to come to a final conclusion either. But as Fritz is back in office, I can get him on the case as soon as those bugfixes in ACE and Uhbik are ready for public testing.FastTriggerFish wrote:Still no fix in sight from NI ?

Today I reproduced the problem. I get these irregularities but didn't find a fixed pattern when and why something is going wrong.
It would be great if somebody could nail the prob and talk to us about that.

Fritze, what do you need exactly ?
I can give you a Maschine project together with a Zebra preset and you will see the difference between the sound when opening the project and after reloading the preset.

It seems to be rather unpredictable here. We would like to find a common rule like "if you load a preset from within Zebra's own browser and you change master volume, then when you save it with song it comes up with detune changed"
Somehow we couldn't work out yet what it actually is that happens.

Ah ok - yeah I wasn't able to pin that exactly either.
Just a thought: presets are text files aren't they ?
One approach might be to save a preset that reproduces the issue, use it in a Maschine project, close project and reopen it, save another preset with the now screwed up sound and compare the two text file with a diff tool ( assuming that the problem persists in the preset serialisation ).
