I own the Maschine, and Cubase 6.5.. Obviously, you know the Maschine is a drum sampler, and in Cubase, it too has its own drum sampler (Groove Agent One.) Now, on the Maschine, I load a hi hat to 4 seperate pads. Each pad I can load an effect on top of the hi hat sample, reverb, delay, compression, ect (As well in Cubase). For example, I can load a reverb effect to one pad that has the hi-hat.. A delay to the other hi hat pad, and so forth. I'm able to record in real time, these hi hats with different effects loaded. I essentially need a 'note repeat' 'roll' that can be set to a pad either on maschine, or Groove Agent One in Cubase. But the trick is, I need to able to assign each pad to a diff time signature to my desire. For example, 1 pad to 1/16ths, the other to repeat/roll to 1/32th, the other to 1/64ths and so on.. So i can record a hi hat at one time signature, and switch to another time signature, 1/32th on a dime.. In the maschine and groove agent one, it is possible to assign an effect to an individual pad like reverb, delay, and so on. Unfortunately their are only certain effects that you can assign to a sample in the maschine and cubase.. delays, reverbs, ect..

I watched a couple youtube videos on this MUX. It looks interesting/promising.

WOULD YOU BE ABLE TO ROUTE A MIDI ARPEGGIATOR IN MUX, AND OUTPUT THE ARP TO THE SELECTED CHANNEL/PAD TO MASCHINE/GROOVE AGENT 1?

It seems like it would get confusing with the MIDI arpeggiators USING MID IN/OUT needed to be routed.

Thanks

I don't see a reason why it would not be possible. Why don't you give it a try with the MUX demo version: http://www.mutools.com/mux-downloads.html

Post

yes all of that can be done

Post

Can you explain how would that be possible? The steps I would need to do it in mux?

Not very friendly.

If you know a way to do this easy please help the man/woman.
Isn't this a place to ask for help and give feedback?
This does not help MULAB.

this is not mulab request line. rtfm

i dont work for mutools. everybody needs to learn their own tool. anybody serious about using a modular environment like mux will rtfm anyway. have you done that already? NO? well you need to do that first. no offense, jis sayin.

" I need help/input here!"

"Read the f**king manual"

Clearly you dont work for Mutools.

Ahh, forget that i ever posted.

I have tried to solve my problem but I cannot get it to work. Is this not what forums are for? To help people out with their gear and production probs? I'm sure you had a problem with something and came to whatever forum for help and got help. If everyone was like you "figure it out on your own" their would be no need for forums. I have tried many times to figure it out but I can't. Hence the reason for the post. I purchased mux and would like some support. Otherwise it is kinda useless to me and money wasted.

mux is not a waste of money. 'how to' consultations did not come as standard with your purchase. was that your understanding?

i own maschine but not cubase. maschine doesnt allow midi routing. you can only input midi note data to the first plugin slot. the only midi routing mux will allow in this situation is within its walls. this means you can only host your arpeggiator and your sound source within mux, you cant take the midi output of mux and control maschine's internal sample playback. but you can achieve the audio equivalent by routing your arp to your sample within mux.

by the way you are using "time signature" the wrong way. what i think you mean is 'note value'

I kinda understand what you are saying. For example..

-Load a hi hat on a pad
-Load mux on that specific pad as an effect..

... This is where I get stuck within the modular setup, I load my arp vst in the modular setup, but its a fail everytime..

I would love the help honestly..

I mean it might have to do with something within the arp since its "midi in/midi out"..

damn..

I assume this is about the same topic as the other one you created: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=363419

Right?

NB: Please don't post double topics on the same issue.

you are using mux in an effect slot which cant receive midi input. that is your problem. you can only place mux in the first slot in maschine if you want to send midi to it.

do you know what midi is? do you know the difference between midi and audio?

Post

You need to load MUX in an instrument/midi effect slot, not an audio fx slot.
