K4 Load-Time with VSL Strings & Brass

Anyone else running Kontact 4 on Receptor, and found pathetically long load-times when using either the VSL Strings or Brass?
These are great sounding orchestral patches, and load fine when 1st chosen, but after saving into a Multi, they take over 25 seconds to load.
This can't happen live.
I hope I'm not the only one experiencing this.

Hi Jay Vee
How big are these samples? I don't know of any particular libraries that load slower than any others...
Are you using Snapshots when performing live?

Hi Bryan,
Sample size has nothing to do with this.
There's a (now 'known issue' ~ please ask Gary) with the Stock VSL Strings and Brass that came with K4 when they're on Receptor.
It's only those, and no, I'm not using Snapshots.
I'd love it if you could speak to Gary, who spent quite a bit of time with me on this, with no solution.
If I knew that Kontact 5 deals with this, or is simply problem free, I'd upgrade!

Can you share the specific patch names? I just loaded a bunch of the stock VSL patches in Kontakt 5 on a VIP and they loaded really fast...JayVee wrote:Hi Bryan,

I'll talk to Gary about this, hopefully we can come up with a easy solution.

Guys ~ I don't either.
They load very well when I'm auditioning them... until I save them as Receptor patches in a Kontact 4 bank.
Later, when I load a Mutli set-up, with VSL Brass/Strings - those delay the loading of the Multi, for 25 to 30 seconds.
A lifetime when an MD is looking at me for the nod to start songs.
I've even experimented with not saving them as Receptor patches ~ just saving the Multi. When next loading that Multi, regardless of how many tracks, it stalls when loading-up the K4 track (only with the stock VSL instruments)

Curious... what are your "multiprocessor support" settings on the Receptor and Kontakt?JayVee wrote:I've even experimented with not saving them as Receptor patches ~ just saving the Multi. I haven't been able to reproduce this yet.
