No, thank YOU! Good day sir...elcallio wrote:Ok, reproduced, verified and fixed. D2D1 did not enjoy trying to blit a rather large offscreen bitmap and thus the drawn waveform became blank. I've fixed the caching code, now all is fine.Jonathan Shepherd wrote:It only happens with certain samples. I'll send you some wav examples, along with the repeaks files generated. Not to sound like a big dummy, but where do I send these files? I can send them as attachments in gmail, or is there a better way?
I have an avi of the process but will wait on posting unless you ask for it. Thanks-
Thanks for the repro files.

That one is just HKLM\Software\VST\
You have to create it if it's not there.

On a 64-bit windows, HKLM\Software\VST\VSTPluginsPathDarkStar wrote:Curious - where's the 64-bit one? That being said, I can't seem to find 32-bit version of that entry in my registry.
The "normal" namespace i the registry corresponds to the native format of the OS, i.e 64 bit. Not sure if steinbergs 64-bit installers create this entry or not (I haven't had my cubase installed for years...), but by definition it is what should point out 64-bit plugins. I can imagine that a lot of software mix between the two though, but it is fundamentally wrong, since that makes it impossible to keep a 32 and 64 bit environment side by side.

Can you PM me your email so I can send a doctored version to test a hypothesis?ACR23 wrote:The cubase version is 5.5.3. It happens when I load the plugin, I've allready closed and reopend the gui, which didn't work.elcallio wrote:Weird. Which version of cubase? And does this happen when you load the plugin, or after an UI resize? At least up until v5 cubase does not respond to the host callback for window resize, thus one has to close and reopen the gui for that to work. But you say the UI becomes unresponsive, which should never happen.ACR23 wrote:Hi elcallio,
TX16Wx b16 (x64) has an gui error with cubase x64:

I tried to resize the gui but the performance selector doesn't react. The whole gui reacts only to right-click. It's also not possible to switch the view tabs.
You can try opening your setting.ini in <profile>\AppData\Local\TX16Wx and change the flag UiSize to 0, that will reset UI size to smallest.
After changing the flac UiSize to 0 only the frame of the plugin decreased:

Check on the Renoise forums, one of the Renoise users reverse engineered it and fully documented it as far as i can rememberelcallio wrote:I wish REX was a documented format. It isnt - thus the only "viable" way to load rex is to sign up with propellerheads to get access to the headers for REX.DLL (which must then be installed). Thanks !

No, he/they reversed using REX.DLL, which is not the same as the file format. And even worse, its breaking the license agreement for REX.DLL, i.e not an option.adevg wrote:Check on the Renoise forums, one of the Renoise users reverse engineered it and fully documented it as far as i can rememberelcallio wrote:I wish REX was a documented format. Did you post the fix version? I downloaded, reinstalled and tested the same samples as well as others, and had the same problem with zoom/waveform disappearing. I saved wavs and repeaks for both good and bad if ya need 'em. But if you hadn't posted the fix I'll wait-

I have not made any updates yet. I might make a silent update tomorrow if I get positive feedback on the window size issue.Jonathan Shepherd wrote:Did you post the fix version? Just a heads up, I've made a silent update to version b16a with fixes for hopefully all stuff mentioned earlier here, mainly window size issues, and waveforms not being drawn at certain zoom levels.
Also, FLAC import.
Enjoy.

Yep, that's good here too.
So is the previewing in the Keyboard Mapper (triggering the next higher white note).

elcallio wrote:Reaper simply does not propagate space to plugins. Neither window messages or VST callbacks. Not much I can do here...
Yes, works fine except I (obviously) need to focus the main REAPER window to start/stop playback. I was hoping for a way of detecting that the plugin had a textbox active. But if it isn't possible, no biggie really.EvilDragon wrote:Did you try right-clicking on the window header and selecting "send all keyboard input to plugin"? Works here.
*facepalm* Right. Move along, nothing to see here.elcallio wrote: You can use "duplicate slot" to coy the select slot(s). The result will end up after the selected one.
Glad to hear it!elcallio wrote:Its in the todo list, both samples and undo queue.

Did not get much time to play with it, but I feel like this GUI is a big improvement over the older 'yellow screen' version.
One thing that took me a minute to figure out was how to load SFZ files. I thought it strange that you would load SF2, and SFZ differently. There is probably a logical explanation.
(I should note that while I am quite competent using a DAW or most effects, I am a sampler/synth noob, I play 10 instruments myself, so I've rarely used these things, just recently started wanted to do my own sampling of funky percussion instruments).
