phew! i've been working pretty feverishly the past 2-3 days bugsquashing, trying to remove some pretty bad bugs out of my entries (it's a small suite of 3 effects). there was actually going to be more stuff in it, but i couldn't kill some bugs and so i had to cut some stuff out, but now i think it's for the better anyway. so i was uploading at like 10pm on 31st, not knowing for sure when deadline would be over, and got it up, then see a thread about the deadline being extended! it gives me some time to actually TEST the stuff at least ;)

anyway, i'd just like to say that i really look forward to seeing the entries from others participating, and it feels pretty cool to be involved. KVR is a big part of what got me into messing around with this kind of stuff, doing my own 'music' as a hobby, and trying to come up with some new sounds. i probably found the site back around 2001 or so? i don't remember but it was a while back, i remember buffer override was the coolest thing ever back then. i never thought i'd be entering my own thing into a dev challenge but here i am, and it's pretty awesome.

good luck to everyone!

Man, I have very fond memories of that effect.
Inanyway, the deadline move was a blessing, had pneumonia the past week, now I actually have time to make presets, and maybe even compose an audio example or two. Will be in on Sunday.

G'd luck with the bug-squashing.

Regards
Andrew

Gee, hope you're over the worst of that.

My entry was in a releasable form on the 31st but now we've an extension I'm thinking what can i shoehorn in at the last moment... :)

yeah and i also remember online in some chat somewhere, someone telling me about the mda stuff, and in particular about the bit crush/sample rate reduction effect in that set, and saying 'there's nothing else like it out there', which probably wasn't 100% true but at that time there probably wasn't too much else out there that was.

one of my other favorites was skidder. i still use it sometimes. the idea in it where you have two settings for each control, and the value randomly fluctuates between those two settings, i wished that would become common for all plugs... but it never did.

Done ! That was short

:dance of the victory:

You hadn't actually selected the DC 12 flag so it nearly got missed... :-o

i thought i had! it's my first time submitting a release here, and the form rejected my entries 2 or 3 times because of something i missed/entered incorrectly. i think my browser resolution hid some entries too so i had to switch browsers. but after having to re-enter everything a couple times... i guess i just missed it!

anyway, thanks a lot for catching that for me!
