Ableton Live 8 & Zebra Parameters

i just upgraded to Live ver. 8 (Live 9 soon. yippee)...

parameters have to be configured to use automation. however clicking on many parameters in Zebra does not result in adding them

what am i missing?

Drop down menus do not automate... so OscFX type, osc single/dual/quad, filter type etc...

Any parameter value does... and works fine for me in Live 8

If you want to automate a return, assign it to one of the XY pads and automate that...

Yes. It's a relic from past time where some hosts (e.g. Live) could see only a limited number of plug-in parameters. So we had to economically choose "worthy" parameters and leave out those we found less important.

Out of curiosity, any plans in Zebra 3 to make the rest of the parameters automatable?

that would be my next Q. many patches already have params assigned to XY

Yes, if possible we'll make them all automatable.

Another idea was an NI-style list of 1000 parameters of choice. But maybe that's not really necessary.
