I hope its the right place to ask.
I just recently downloaded the Diva demo. And what should I say? I could easily delete all other VST synths I ever bought. They are crap compared to DIVA.
The only problem is though my financial situation doesnt let me afford it in the moment. I have already ear damage through this noise the Diva demo makes, but I cant get my hands off it.
Are there price models for students? (a friend of mine is also interested).
I need this synth so badly. never heard something better sounding.
I hope this is the right forum.
have mercy with me thx.

Please don't do this to yourself, no matter how good a synth is!Ghombos wrote:I have already ear damage through this noise the Diva demo makes, but I cant get my hands off it.

Well if you feel that way about your other synthesizers, why not sell them on the market place instead of deleting them?Ghombos wrote:I could easily delete all other VST synths I ever bought. They are crap compared to DIVA.

And Diva is pretty cheap compared with getting a Jupiter-6, Jupiter-8, MS-20, Juno....

the thing is - I dont know If the licese does allow me to sell them.. (its the NI Komplete Stuff - its smearing and has aliasing. FM8 is good though - but nothing comes near Diva - its a whole new dimension.)
maybe you guys know someone that has a cheap old Diva version for sale maybe?

NI allows sales of komplete i think, you just need to send them email asking to unregister the codes so you can sell them to another user. I've bought Massive and Reaktor both second hand from the KVR market place.Ghombos wrote:the thing is - I dont know If the licese does allow me to sell them.. NI allows resales. u-he too.
However, there definitely are some beauties in Komplete - namely, the whole instrument contingent - especially Absynth, Kontakt and Reaktor. Try to explore them more, there's plenty in there, they certainly have their applications.

Bit harsh, and untrue.Ghombos wrote:I hope its the right place to ask.

Well, its a bit of a pathetic statement. Diva is good at what it does, but its certainly not the be all and end all of synths.Howard wrote:Kriminal wrote:Bit harsh, and untrue.![]()
If it is, we wont be seeing a Zebra 3

So what you're saying is you want to haggle on the best synth you've heard!
Would you haggle on the price of a heart transplant?
Personally I'd just get Albino3 anyway

of course NI are okay too..
but DIva was the first time for long when I heard so much harmonics. After it I tried Lush 101 - wow its also good.
May it be that all new synths that are being released have a higher standard or what? My Synths are basically all from 2008 and VST...
Maybe I should audit all the new stuff - but then I feel bad cause I want them all ^^
anyway - no event or sth. for the end of the year or so?

Well, I have to agree with both of you!Kriminal wrote:Bit harsh, and untrue.Ghombos wrote:I hope its the right place to ask.

I think if there was only one synth I was allowed to keep, Diva would be it (let me restate that--it would be it). But woe to the man who tries to take zebra or alchemy from me...
But my god, I'm just now finishing a Diva preset just to kill a few minutes, and I'm having an extremely visceral reaction to it. I'm literally shivering every time I play a note--my shoulders are hunched and ear-high, and my spine is tingling, and my arms are tensed. The raw sound of this is just thrilling.
