So, I was working with the demo version of Sylenth1 for some time, and had projects created in FL Studio 10. After I went out and bought a copy of Sylenth1 and installed it, I loaded up my project files and FL gave me an error saying it couldn't find the plugin, though I can load it just fine and use it without error.
It seems like the project is attempting to find a different version of the plugin. Is there any way to get FL to recognize this new install without losing my automations, patches, etc and basically losing all my previously saved work?

Problem has been solved. The only way I know of (so far) to fix the issue is to reinstall the same bit version (32 or 64) of the plugin into the exact same folder the VST was installed to at the time the project file was created and instrument was added.

You could also use a junction / hard link to save yourself multiple installs.
Just point them at the old locations and you should be sweet.
These tools will make it a bit easier if you're not shell-happy.
