So... Zebra has some great sounds, but the basic included assortment seem to fall short in some areas... Bass sounds in particular seem an afterthought, although I can adjust them to taste.

Yes, I can, at last, make my very own Zebra sounds ( I made a Dub-step "Wubby" patch out of some little tinkler in twenty minutes) but I wouldn't mind just sifting through a big pile of patches and building off the sounds therein.

Now someone had made a set of sounds for dance tracks around here somewhere, and if pointed to that it might be enough... but there may be more sounds I'l not aware of.

What I'm looking for are NOT the fluffy, reverb drenched film score sounds that Zebra seems a tad mired in. I enjoy sounds like that... sounds that you just stare off into space holding a chord down... and weep at the awesome beauty. But the project demands different sounds

What would be better are harsh, angular UP FRONT, DRY sounds that one can drop in to a DAW and not have to rip away the all the reverb and echo.

(Why do people put reverb on Bass anyway... jeeez.)

Perhaps these sounds are rare, or just obscure... but I can imagine someone has a few they can recommend that will be what "the kids" are looking for... dirty, dry, mean, rude and FAT!

Four Oscillators... all those filters and routings, some surely has made a few.

Suggestions?? :help:

I was just thinking to put together a bank like that for Zebra asap.

Sharp, raspy, noisy, stereo, buzz sounds as well as solid, tight, colorful and chubby bass and leads.

..and as always, preferring to get as dry and clear as possible so that the dry instrument itself would be valuable and not the chorus gloss or reverb drench seem like it.

I'm actually going to DO a bank like that, depending on the ferociousness of what I believe will be a kickass new smashing module in Z3

Runray! Your patches were the most useful, a fine assortment of basses... many commercial packages seems crawling long techno pads (or key-sequences) with verb and echo. Or just not rude enough.

I can use these, though i'll have to ruin them.

So THANKS! :)

As for you guys saying "oh yeah, gonna make some of those"... well, please do!

I know the sounds are in there, why my little Dub-step patch is a fine example of the mal-adjusted sounds that Zebra can burp up when fed the right diet of bad oats.

Rude... BRATTY sounds.

Thats what I'm hearing on Soundcloud when wade through there.

Thanks to all for your suggestions... great to know where things are!
