Urs wrote:as there is no direct modulation link to voice gain, the easiest way would be this:
Go to Matrix tab
For ModMatrix1, select Assign1 as ModSource
As target Parameter, select "OSC Volume"
Turn up Mod Depth
Lower OSC Volume in the Global section by about 50%, so that the modulation from the matrix can take effect.
Your described setting works per-fec-tly!!!
In Synthesis/global, to get a max of musical expressivity, I even raise down the Oscillator Volume to zero: wide vibrato, ample cresc/dim from the breath. Excellent, brillant!

For info: the EWI has a recorder mouthpiece, with no reed; the WX5 has both.
Zebra works really fine with an EWI 3020 and a WX5 (recorder or reed mouthpiece).

Thank you very much Urs! :)

Sadly, no emoticon with a breath instrument

Bottoms up!
A first look in Rax...
(In the last panel, copyright... 2004. Am I... ? Yes, I know ;-)

Thank you very much to be (probably) the first 'unknown user' to play with your new version.
See you soon,
Philippe

Microtuning support in the 1.5 official release? Maybe?

Post

Hehehe, Microtuning will come...

For now I'm happy that 1.5 went stable and finished. The new gui stuff caused a lot of trouble in the past 2 months, but I'm certain it's all fixed now. Delayed the release for 5-6 weeks!

I still have some more or less important things to fix, and then it's all about the Micotuning megalomania we've discussed!

Cheers,

;) Urs
