Settings - MIDI Controllers

I must be missing something here.

I have looked at the Controllers window for several plug-ins. They do not list many of the controls. Here are a few examples, selected at random.



How do I get the other controls to show up in the window?

Grr - I just did some more experimenting:
-- select an item in the list
-- click the named title bar on the right-hand side
-- select the desired parameter there and click [OK]
Then it will appear in the list.

Can the context Help be enhanced to explain this?

I think that it would be better if the list on the left-hand side contained the different parameters (or, at least, up to the 32 most-likely ones) to begin with.

It's a little more technically complicated. If there would be all parameters, it would take too much CPU and also now you can actually use multiple controllers to control a single parameter, which could be advantageous.

I can understand that it could be complex - 32 parameters (as at present) would be enough. Mapping several controllers to the same parameter is good, too. All I was suggesting is that the initial list could be populated with different parameters.

At first sight, with the same parameter in several slots on the left-hand side, it looked like a bug to me - and that's what started me looking.

Perhaps, there could be a list on the left-hand side, of, say, 4 different parameters, with the other slots labelled "Available" or similar? With a more detailed explanation in the context Help.

... Only my ideas, though. Now that I understand how it works I can see the power and flexibility.

I agree with more detailed help, but not the rest of it . It would actually be very confusing and choosing 32 parameters from say 500, which many of the plugins offer, is not realistic.
