I think it would be very useful to have an app for ipod of kvraudio
Forum.

- sent with a bit of discomfort from safari app on ipod
due to lack of kvraudio forum app :)

Been browsing KVR pretty much exclusively from my iPad since I bought it a year ago- works fine for me...

But it would be great on smaller screens. The Gearslutz app works great on my 320x240 htc wildfire screen.

My apologies, I read it as iPad, not iPod....

Works fine on my galaxys s3 as it is.

Even with a good resolution like on the s3, clicking something would still require zooming in (or mini fingers)?

Yep, same as every other website.

Try the gearslutz app... no zooming!
And not every other website; a lot of websites have mobile versions (like an app, but in the browser).

AGREED. I plan to get an iPad, not the least reason is so my daily kvr activities are less painful. I do not sit at a desk or table for web stuff and laptops aren't really acceptable for laps (heat, weight). This forum is very uncomfortable on iPhone. Especially entering posts. The behavior is slow and clumsy. It's so slow that it interferes with the autocorrect behavior. I do NOT have this kind of problem on ANY other web site so I know it's kvr that's at fault. The "new" kvr was where this became an issue and it's getting worse monthly as more adverts and code get piled onto kvr's every nook and cranny.

This forum would need Tapatalk support, but it won't happen in the near future, it seems: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 22#4856422

this is the Death Star sized elephant in the room!

it makes no sense to me that so many web sites have failed to update to mobile format- in October smartphones passed a billion sold- ten times as many people are using mobiles to visit web sites than those using PCs- any site with a PC based web interface is catering to less than 10 percent of the customer base- frustrating almost everyone who comes to the site-

I understand that information technology develops very quickly- but you have to at least try to keep up! what the hell is going on?

I sometimes read KVR on my Galaxy Note smartphone's 5.1 inch screen, but it involves a fair bit of pinching and squeezing (oo-er, missus). A workaround might be to use a feed reader to open KVR's RSS feeds - each forum has its own. Google Reader's Android app is excellent.

Reading this thread right now and replying
Via ipod, sux alot.

Very IRONIC that a
COMPUTER reated forum doesnt have an
forum app. There are forums like home
improvement, or other completly unrelated to
Computer or ios technology have ios apps!!!!!

KVR app good idea :)

It just needs a mobile version. Apps cost a ton to make and offer little over a decent designed-for-mobile website. It's something Apple made us believe was necessary so they could monopolize the supply chain, but it offers nothing to the consumer except having to use another application just because he happens to want to surf over to the KVR forums. THen there's tapatalk for others, this for that. It's not worth the hassle.

Check out the renoise forums on mobile for an example. Same look and feel as the big one, but mobile optimized. That's how it should be.
