Just wanted to post what Eric said on his Facebook page. This should start everyone buzzing again. Normally, I don't see him respond to questions but that one was a quick response (which in my books means we are closer to something good).

I'm interested to see what they come up with regarding Trilian. I'd love a Rickenbacher bass for one thing. Midi out for the arp too

Me too, i've asked them about a va synth engine and they said you never know so it's possible, seems like a logical step forward as well i think.braj wrote:I'm interested to see what they come up with regarding Trilian. I'd love a Rickenbacher bass for one thing. Midi out for the arp too

I asked about MIDI out of the arp back at NAMM 2011, and he mentioned they were 'working on something'.
Hopefully they'll be back at NAMM this coming Jan.

are all the instruments/samples in Omnisphere "dry" if you want them to be?

You can remove the effects, so yes. Some samples are wettish to begin with, but you will rarely hear complaints about these samples - considered among the best available.
I thought Trillian's synth patches were based on synth samples not a VA (?)
