I've frequented many other large forums and each of them have been largely plagued with terrible handling of mod privileges! From some where anything goes to most where there is abuse of their power. I think you and your handling of the community are all a big reason why KVR is still around today and why it works so well.

Dunno what sites you go to, but kvr has the most inconsistant moderation ive seen...ppl with 'issues' really shouldnt be mods.

Hmm, honestly, even though KVR certainly has some pills among the community (every community does), this is easily one of the most polite forums I've been to. Maybe it's the moderators, maybe something else, but I can't see too much to complain about myself.

being a moderator myself on a number of local god forsaken forums, i know what it feels like when you want to ban someone or just delete someone's messages because you don't like said person or said messages, but you can't. i'm not a long-time KVR member in the grand scheme of things, but from what i've seen so far they've done a pretty decent job. well done.

And I've been to tons of forums over the past 16 years. The group here is one of the better ones for sure. On many other sites you wouldn't even be allowed to state what you just did. They'd remove it and/or temp ban you for speaking 'ill' of the staff. It isn't perfect at kvr, that is a given, but it is a WHOLE lot better than most other places.

The interesting thing is that some people really are longing for a ban and are provoking INTENTIONALLY - some of them were already a few times banned... But what does this give to them? Satisfaction? I alway try to moderate myself, so that I can live without abusive words... I do make some jokes, but I don't insult people normally.
