Round Robin Effect

I've just made a little Zebra patch that exhibits a phenomenon whereby the cutoff cycles through an 8 or 16 step pattern when hitting a key repeatedly, depending on the voice mode. Only duophonic produces a consistent "machine gun effect".

It's actually evident with just one osc by itself, but this patch amplifies the effect. Changing the number of voices also alters the pattern length; few = 4 steps, medium = 8 and many = 16. The sequence changes each time the patch is loaded.

How can this be? Why is it so? Is it something to do with the Mayan calendar?

Thanks!

Don't worry, figured it out - I didn't have the osc reset buttons on obviously. Still interesting that the phase resets itself in duophonic mode though, no?

Ok, so maybe not that interesting.

Duophonic mode is implemented differently from mono/legato. Latter do round robin, former doesn't.

I think future versions - Z3 - will offer both options.

Sheesh, is there anything that won't be in Z3?
