Not judging you or something, but it doesn't sounds like that much of a bummer to me, especially now that i know it beforehand :) well worth the money i'm going to save in this end-of-the-world-special.

Anyways, i understand it's more like of a principle for you than a real hurdle.

Not true. We have a 64 Bit version of Harmor working perfectly (AFAIKS) here.

We will release all these 64 Bit versions closer to FL Studio 64 Bit release.

Priority 1 is FL Studio 11. Then FL Studio 64 Bit.

I don't know what it is about you FLS fanboys, but whenever the very legitimate question of x64 native comes up, it either gets ignored, or a few of the devoted jump in to mention that it "WORKS" in 64 bit (which, btw, it doesn't-bridging is not a viable option for many).

We are now in Windows 8. x64 is not a fad, and it's not going away. Delphi has supposedly solved the recompiling issue. So the question remains: Does FLS want to be taken seriously, or not?

Incidentally, I own just about everything FLS has, both in the DAW and in vst. Haven't been able to use it in a year or so. If and when IL gets off the couch, I will be a very happy guy.

Cheers

edit: post crossed with shponglefan's. still valid though.
FL Studio 64 Bit is scheduled for release next year.

Why can't you use FL Studio now?

shponglefan wrote:That's not referring to the VST; rather it's referring to Windows versions (i.e. it's a 32-bit plug that will work in 64-bit Windows, but it's not 64-bit itself).

Personally I find it really irritating when companies pull that. Just tell us whether the VST itself is 32-bit or 64-bit. None of this trickery to make the consumer assume or guess.
We don't try to 'trick' anyone. All our software works on 64 Bit windows, including FL Studio (32 Bit).

You can host 64 Bit plugins in FL Studio.

We have a native 64 Bit version of FL Studio in development.

FWIW: When you are using a 64 Bit host you will need to bridge any 32 Bit plugins you may care to use. Just the reverse of 32 Bit host with 64 Bit plugins. Nothing really changes in terms of plugin support.

And thanks to kvr I now know that it's only 32 bit, IL isn't pointing that out clearly
A 64 Bit version of Harmor will be released shortly.

had to grab harmor, been thinking about it for a while now and of course this was the push

The only thing I wish it had right now was a tree-view of the presets. It has one when used inside FL studio but the vst version doesnt. Just hope its a small oversight since sytrus has treeview in all its incarnations

wait are moment.

so you guys telling me that after six months your image line plugin suddenly stopped working?
like, you want to perform live on stage but your image line vst reverted to demo mode just when the session is loaded and you're ready to press play? :o

just asking because i never had issues with all of my image line plugins for years but maybe they changed that with new reg keys.

I do not know - I responded to that e-mail (and to the one in June)so that I could avoid that kind of mess.

you don't know?

have you ever considered that maybe something is very odd on your computer?
it could happen to any plugin since your registry is obviously broken,

a registry key file is like a serial number, nothing more or less.

why should that be image lines fault?

Do I still need to get Harmless if I get Harmor or Harmor can cover everything Harmless does and more? I will have to get Sytrus if I end up getting the Producer Edition instead of the Signature. Hopefully they will have a similar sale for FL Studio soon.

I also want to get Grossbeat but I will have to do with ArtilleryCM if budget won't permit, times are hard living in a poor ass third world country.

FLS sale? I will surely end up spending what I would save from an FLS sale to get a couple of Image-Line products anyways. I was literally shaking with excitement when I got the email update from IL yesterday, I have read forum members talking about the sale before IL made it public, but I had no idea what they were talking about then.

It looks like Sytrus will not be ported to 64. So be aware of its future.
I love it, but I may end up regretting in the 64 future world.

I find odd the fact that a company can not comment on their products. Almost hiding behind Harmor going 64.
That's poor customer relations..

Believe what you want. It was Image Line's fault because it was Image-Line's copy protection policy.

There is definitely nothing wrong on any of my computers.

And even if it was one scheme that they tried one time because DirectWave was not "really" part of the IL/FL colossus, it was one time too many.

:uhuhuh: that's quite unusual.
Never seen anyone ever come up with that issue.
You need to get the bottom of it. You just get pissed and give up?
