I think there is no future development for Sytrus. But there is some talk in the IL forum about making a better Sytrus aka Sytrex like SliceX is to Fruity Slicer.liquidsound wrote:It looks like Sytrus will not be ported to 64. So be aware of its future.
I love it, but I may end up regretting in the 64 future world.

Which Image-Line plugins would you get? (end of the world sale)

Sytrus has amazing sound - depending on what kind of music you're making - but can really be used for anything.
Sakura is pretty awesome - I may buy that one - I've only used it in Demo, but I love it.
Maximus is very good. I'd say its comparable to Ozone, though I've used the former considerably more than the latter.
Gross Beat is great for Hip Hop, and possibly other styles. It'd be worth demoing first, but its definitely cool.
Direct Wave gets a bu, rep, but there's a ton you can do with it. This may not apply to you, but a cool feature is the ability to quickly create FPC kits. And you can load VSTi's - this combo means that you can convert any third party VSTi sound banks into FPC Format (not to mention they are now available as wav files). I've converted a couple EMU libraries, and they sound good.
Ogun has good sound quality, but the sound isn't for everyone.
Toxic has some pretty cool presets - I haven't messed with it much though.
Slicex is the most advanced and full featured beat-slicer I've ever seen - including Propellorheads, Native Instruments, etc.
Edison is a pretty great wav player that makes fine tuning your mix easier. Slicex has a lot of the same features built in.
I think the Juice Pack might have Wave Candy...I can't remember. The EQ in the Juice Pack is good.
peace

If they'd include the full version of deckadance in that sale, I'd pick it up like that, but they haven't even included the basic version, damn it! For those out of the loop, heh, it is a plugin.

would be nice if image line could confirm this, also if maximus is going to x64 or not.

It has already been ported. The log says: Ported Sytrus (some presets buggy).liquidsound wrote:It looks like Sytrus will not be ported to 64. So be aware of its future.
So it obviously needs some tweaking but its well on the way since I was just playing with it to check before posting. It works.
Where are you guys getting all this?

Ported already. I should point out this means it was done, we played with it, it works. But it has yet to go to beta testing so that may expose some bugs we will need to fix.t3toooo wrote: would be nice if image line could confirm this, also if maximus is going to x64 or not.

If people want to know they only need to ask on our forums. No one is hiding anything. We just don't like making any announcements because as soon as we do people start bugging about when it should be ready or that we should be spending time on something else (they care about). For example I am now expecting complaints we wasted time converting Fruity Dance to 64 Bit before [insert pet plugin here].
So, we are migrating everything (we can) to 64 Bit. Here's where we are as of last week with respect to plugins/components:
64 Bit ported effects:
Edison
EQUO
Fruity Convolver
Fruity Delay Bank
Fruity Fast Dist
Fruity Limiter
Fruity Love Philter
Fruity NoteBook
Fruity Parametric EQ
Fruity Parametric EQ 2
Fruity Reeverb 2
Fruity Stereo Enhancer
Fruity Wrapper
Gross Beat
Maximus
Soundgoodizer
Vocodex
Wave Candy
ZGameEditor Visualizer
64 Bit ported instruments/generators:
3x Osc
Autogun
Fruity Dance
Fruity DX10
Fruity Slicer
Fruity Wrapper
Harmless
Harmor
Ogun
Slicex
Sytrus
TS404
Sawer
Toxic Biohazard
Sakura
PoiZone
Poizone2
Morphine
GMS
Drumaxx

Thank you for letting us know, Scott.
It's cool that TS404 & Edison r in there.
I've used these 2 a lot, and will continue to do so.
I'm waiting for Synthmaker to go 64-bit though.

Yep, I'm hip to DSP Robotics,
I didn't know ur relationship is
continuing though.
IMO-that's great news!
64-bit is in the pipeline,
it's neccessary for Flowstone recorders,
and .wav players.
For peeps just checking IL out,
MIDI timing is now sample accurate in FS,
although FL specific primitives had that covered.
hmm, I guess Ruby language is interesting for
more things than that.
I'm thinking Flowstone will not be available within
Fruity on Mac. It uses GDI,
I would love if the installer sorted that though.
It is quite an update, Synthmaker to Flowstone IMO.
Another cool thing that I have got working with it is a
Playstation1 controller. Could be fun as.
Regards from me too, and all success
Just need FL skinnable here!!

Sorry for the "Relation" thing. I got frustrated because I'm investing a lot of time into FM and Sytrus is my tool of choice for learning it and at the same time I'm moving to 64 based DAW and I don't want to depend on bridging plugins.
My bad for not checking FL forums as I'm understanding that this information is posted there.
Anyway. The list above is awesome.
Ready to take advantage of the Mayan offer
