I's the end of the world as we know it...

And I would like to buy Harmor, Sytrus and maybe SliceX. We'll have to see what I can do after my check comes in. I also want to buy Synapse Audio's Dune while it is on sale, so I will have to weigh my options.

It looks like Sytrus will not be ported to 64. So be aware of its future.
I love it, but I may end up regretting in the 64 future world.

I find odd the fact that a company can not comment on their products. Almost hiding behind Harmor going 64.
That's poor customer relations..
..he says on a page with 4 official IL answers on it, clearly stating it.

Harmor works as 64bit (& that's recent). Sytrus doesn't (fully) yet. If we were saying that Sytrus will be 64bit & something unexpected makes it impossible, you'll be the first one pointing out false promises.
Until it works as 64bit, yeah, it kinda doesn't.
DOLPH WILL PWNZ0R J00r LAWZ!!!!

Just purchased Harmor :D A Great synth
It was in my list with Sytrus but I have purchased FM8 in the black Friday so I don't need Sytrus anymore (maybe Sytrus II in the future?).

Thanks 'tony tony chopper' for such a great work :-)

I downloaded the Harmor demo yesterday, but it shows up in 64bit Reaper as 32bit. Does that seem correct? I thought it was now 64bit. Is the demo only 32bit or something?

If you read back in this thread, Image Line explained that Harmor is still 32 bits for the time being, but the 64 bit version should be out soon.

Great news about the upcoming x64 versions.
If i had another wish it would be making the Sytrus gui at least twice the current size.

Apologies. I did read back to where to where they stated it had been ported to 64bit last week, which is where I stopped. I did not realise that it'd hadn't actually been released yet.

So no.
Do you mean the NFR policy?
No, I mean that you end up getting what amounts to a temporary "registry key" and after six months or so you need to go to their website to get another. At least that is what has happened with my PAID FOR copy of Directwave. And I was not informed of this little bit of info before I paid for Directwave.

It is may considered opinion that if I buy a piece of software from a vendor that I am entitled to use it from that day forward with the original key I got with my purchase - and without any further dealings with that vendor should I choose.

That copy protection scheme ensures that I won't even look at a demo from Image-Line, Fruity Loops.
WTH are you talking about? Image-Line has the best and most hassle free CP ever. IL is one of the very few companies who does not rape their paying customers with stupid and tedious CP. Yes, you do have to download a new reg key, when a major upgrade comes out, but this is a moot point as you have to download a new installer anyways. And unlike other CP schemes, there is no way it will ever stop working or does not let you use your software when the company goes down or something. So, no, IL has the best and most user friendly CP of any company. :nutter:

You need to get the bottom of it. You just get pissed and give up?
The program itself has never been updated (the developer died) but I've been through 3 "regcode" thingies, last on an installation on a new computer, which may or may not be understandable.

It works OK, but I half expect the next rev of Cubase to refuse to work with it. I have Kontakt now, so no great loss.

The whole experience just completely soured me on Image-Line's products. There are plenty other vendors who don't play hinky games with copy protection. I'll buy stuff from them instead, half-price sale or not.

(edit) IL are on the case

Oh boy, IL has one of the most user friendliest copy protections and its still not good enough. Just friggin download the regkey from your user account - for FREE - and no, your key NEVER expires but changes with an update.

After several years of using il products I can say that I never had any problems with the copy protection... furthermore I never heard of expiring registry entries... are you sure that your pc has no problems? IMO IL is a great company with great products.

I can't help thinking posters who are dissing this copy protection and implying C/R or dongle is good, are workers from those copy protection company :hihi: But I would politely say no thanks to them.

Hi SODDI.

Our Credit Card (CC) Payment is handled by several 3rd party companies. As is usual in the industry they return to us a 'customer score' based on whatever methods CC providers use to rank the risk of customers. That is if a score is too low your CC may be rejected or just flagged. We are never told what the issues are, only get flags and warnings. Often it can be something as silly as getting your name wrong twice in a row OR you buy from another country than you normally do.

If the score is low we may issue a temporary license (6 months). This ensures we don't have problems with fake/stolen CCs when there is a charge-back and people wander of with a free license. FWIW we get a lot of these each day.

The system will warn you about 10 days before the Regkey is going to expire.

We throw up an apologetic message 7 days before hand such as...

http://www.image-line.com/support/FLHel ... gcode.html

And then another after it has expired such as...

http://www.image-line.com/support/FLHel ... pired.html

If this happens it's a once only visit to your account to download and install a new regcode and it's fixed. It never expires again.

It's not clear from your post what confused you and what went wrong.

Regards Scott

...must be out if their mind. But I can't blame developers moving that way - but that's another discussion that always end in a locked thread.
