System requirments for KP5 state Windows 7 as the minimum requirement for the os. I'm still on XP with a system I built about 5 years ago. I checked the NI user forum to see if it can run on XP and it was said that it should, but is not endorsed nor thouroughly tested to run on XP. Not sure I can take the chance, even with owning just a few libraries to upgrade to KP5. Still looking forward to getting S2 someday. I must say that I as I am certain I am just one amongst the many, are not only comepletely blown away by your fine products, but by your excellent and prompt customer service.
Thanks Again,
Jeremy

Kontakt Player is free. Give it a download to see if it'll run on your system. Any licensed libraries you have will still load in it, and unlicensed libraries will run in demo mode for 15 minutes at a time so you'll have the opportunity to test it out and make sure it works before making a final decision.

Yeah, I would say it is worth downloading KP5 just to try - no harm in it. I was actually able to run Kontakt on my old XP 64 machine (!) which is possibly the most unsupported OS around. So, you never know

I was wondering if the Revalver HPse plugin is the same as the one that came with Shreddage X, or is a newer version? I just don't want to install something I don't need, if the older one is the same.

Thanks, I won't bother to install it then. Hope to get some time this evening to play with SII.

hello all,
I bought shreddage 2 a few days ago (this is all very new to me
). downloaded it along with the revalver hpse vst.
But i noticed in a demo i watched that there should be a shreddage preset pack in revalver, but mine only has the standard factory preset.
I would much like to have the shreddage preset for revalver.
Can anyone mabe help me how to obtain this?

Was that file not included with the installers?3. In the same folder that contained the installation files ("ReValver HPse"), look for a folder labeled HPse Presets and click on it. Copy the file "1.bank" to the "Banks" folder on your computer where ReValver was installed. On a PC, this will typically be:
\Program Files\Peavey Electronics\ReValver HPSE\banks
On a Mac, the folder will be:
/Library/Application Support/Peavey Electronics/ReValver HPSE/banks

I've just come out of work and cannot see myself owning S11 for quite some time to come.
Keep posting your projects, guys...S11 sounds amazing.

I just purchased the Picked Bass library with a little cash i earned over the weekend.
I'm gonna see if i can get more work and try for Shreddage2.
By the way, the bass sounds amazing, thanks Andrew and Co.

Where can I find step-by-step instructions on how to install and otherwise use Shreddage 2 in Kontakt Player (4.13) ?
Just bought S2 & SBass bundle and trying in vane to install or otherwise use S2 in Kontakt Player 4.13, but I can't seem to figure it out! Bundle didn't include any Kontakt Player, even though the "ad" for S2 clearly said it does/would! = grrr!? (DLed KP4.13 from NI site because KP5 says it needs Win7+).
I'm new to Kontakt, or even non-dedicated samplers in general (and that doesn't help). This may be be obvious to users familiar with Kontakt, but I'm pretty steamed there is no obvious "How to Install or Setup" info from IS (and that a Kontakt Player wasn't included)! Would a short text or video really be that hard? Or maybe it is!
Anyway, so frustrated at this point! Surely someone somewhere has had similar problems! (I couldn't find this subject through a KVR search).
Any and all help appreciated!!!
And if there's a better thread for this - just let me know. Or maybe I need to start a new one. Thanks!
EDIT: (Found this in a search) "Once you open (Kontakt Player) up, you should see a Libraries tab on the left. You can click "Add Library" and then search on your computer for the Shreddage II folder you've extracted... once you add the library to the Libraries tab, you then need to close (your DAW) and find Native Instruments Service Center (or NI Service Center) which should have been installed with Kontakt Player. It will prompt you to authorize Shreddage II..." end
When I try to Add Library (Shreddage 2 folder, or Instruments, etc.) I get the "No Library Found" dialog pop-up. And when I open Service Center it says "All products are activated".
Thought this info may be helpful.
