I like Harmor, I have been trying the demo out.. but noticed this happens when I click the menu for articulation/mapping/shaping and pick something from it:

Nothing like this happens with any of my other synth plugins, and I have a pretty lot.

If I minimize Harmor, then bring it back up again, it looks fine and it does work after that. But if I pick something from that menu again, and the same thing happens.

I don't think it's my video card, it's a NVidia GeForce 7800GT, so should work fine. I already know my Ram could be better, only 2 gigs (but I have XP 32-bit, not Vista

) and I don't have any other plugins loaded up in Sonar when I am trying it out.

I also just did a clean reinstall of XP about 2 weeks ago, so not sure what's up.

EDIT: I just posted this same thing in the Image-Line section of KVR to see what they say over there.

There is a 64 Bit version of Harmor that has yet to be released for Beta testing. That it's not already released has more to do with resources and priorities than its readiness.

Why? Everything is working perfectly here, the drivers are solid and mature, I don't have any need for 64 bit and I have no desire to spend hours and hours reinstalling and reauthorizing dozens and dozens of plugins, sample libraries etc.......

Many people are still are hanging on to XP, but eventually I know I will switch when I get a new PC. I actually have Windows 7 Pro, but haven't installed it on this PC as it can only go up to 2 gigs (maxed out). Also I don't think there are Win7 drivers for the Audiophile 2496 card in there.

But like I mentioned, doesn't happen with other synths...such as Rayblaster, Minimonsta, OP-X Pro II, ElectraX, Battery3, Gladiator, Saurus, impOSCar, the list goes on.

I will check that beta, thanks for letting me know about that.

I have a weird GUI behaviour in Harmor too, though it's nothing as serious as a screwy menu.

When I open the visual spectrum plot on the right, instead of appearing in the empty space next to the GUI it obscures part of the GUI. It's hardly a showstopper but it is what it is... slightly annoying

That's not a bug, that's how it works in hosts that don't appear to allow plugins to resize (even if they seem to work through some hacks).

People were complaining that in some hosts Harmor couldn't resize to reveal the visual box, thus it was put over.

It's VST thing, not Harmor. I gather VST specs don't allow a plugin to dynamically resize it's own window or something.

//edit: oops, never mind... thanks Tony Tony Chopper.

Personally I'd prefer a pop-out window , because I find the display very helpful for sound design but don't use it as much because it covers the GUI, but what the heck.

Not sure if that applies to the issue I mentioned as well, but I have tried the demo version of Diva, and it resizes to different sizes in Sonar with no problems.

Afaik there is no real 64Bit version planned for Harmor? Gol stated that they will bridge the plug-ins so they will appear as 64Bit plug-ins in all hosts.

Getting back on topic...

What Image Line plugins would you get before the world comes to an end ?

I got myself some Morphine

I've had Toxic since the year dot and I like Maxx's creations...

They've got real character...

I heard the Electric P bass in the demo of Morphine and bought it immediately..

It was worth it for that one sound,but there's a heap of great sounds in there that will help to fill out the canvas...Low CPU on many of them too...

I had a couple of Kurzweil K150's back in the day and Morphine is certainly easier to deal with when it comes to additive synthesis...

I tried the demo of Harmor but it gave me vertigo
