If you're really lucky you can snag a used copy in the marketplace. That's a game for the patient though -- I see roughly one every 2 months go up. They also tend to sell quick if it's less than $150 so you have to be on your toes.
There's also the dinosaur crossgrade option, saves you $50 USD off the listed price:

Get Zebra2 and the Black Zebra, and you get a free upgrade to Zebra3.
If in doubt: try Zebralette (free).
If you love synthesis, this is your synth.

Thanks for the quick replies folks. I'll go ahead and get this. I listened to the demos and thought it sounded great. Highly expressive and expansive.

You can save fifty dollars with the dinosaur crossgrade. It's worth it if you have any analog gear.FretDoc wrote:Thanks for the quick replies folks. I'll go ahead and get this. I listened to the demos and thought it sounded great. Highly expressive and expansive.

Sorry to be brutal -- but this is the second thread I have seen where you posted a link to your sounds. If every sound designer did this, we would be overrun with spam. Since we're on the subject of the Zebranautuc patch library - Here is my initial review of your sounds (I didt see a place outside of MarketPlace to post this).timaeus222 wrote:If you like it that much, you should check this out!

Zebranautic Revolution By Timaeus
The Goods. More than a dozen very well done patches that sound excellent and will definitely be home runs in many mixes.
The Bads. A large selection of "Video Games" patches ( 18 ), MegaMan inspired. Some of these are useful.. but you are on your own for cataloging them.. Why they are in a "Games" folder is not readily apparent, except for perhaps the original inspiration. On the subject of cataloging.. Many of the sounds are mis-tagged. There are a load of "ARP" patches that have no Zebra Arp/Seq settings. Some of these are nice leads, or keys… but require careful examination and re-naming. I think I renamed more than half the patches, so I can find them later. I re-catalogued over half the set, moving sounds out of the emulations subfolders into more easily identified folders. E.G. most of the "ART" emulations patches are Leads -- so I moved them into a Leads subfolder. There are very few patches with Modwheel functionality, i couldn't see many (any?) with aftertouch, and XY controls are mostly unassigned. Without trying to sound too much like being overly negative (like I said, there are many really good patches in here), I found the info panel to be of little value. Sorry to be brutal, but "Really Cool!
At the end of the day.. there are many good sounds in this set - but it is going to take a little work to catalogue, and tweak them for (re)usability.
180 patches for $15. This is about .08 / patch. Stack this against similarly priced price/patch libraries… and it doesn't really add up to so great a deal imo. The set needs work. It should be cleaned up (re-indexed/catalogued), add meaningful comments to the Patch Information metadata, and put in Aftertouch, use of the XY controller assignment, use of the pitch wheel outside the defaults, and add real arppegiator settings to those ARP patches.
Apologies for stepping into the OP happy news on picking up Zebra. Congrats FretDoc!

Sorry, I don't actually post like this often. I also made those patches while keeping in mind that some people who make music don't actually have a MIDI keyboard.
I also kept in mind to post in the only two sections that were appropriate for Zebra patches. Trust me, I'm not some sort of spammer, and not trying to be either.

timaeus222 - no worries. Like I said.. i am enjoying your patches. I am not the forum police... no need to explain to me.
I don't think you're necessarily spamming... probably just excited about your sound set.

Well I've been playing with this for a few days - fantastic! Super quick loading patches and light on my CPU. I also got the dark zebra (my son's a big batman fan)which has some awesome sounds in there. If you don't have zebra 2 - go get it!
