New EVE Volume HQS1, next!

This new soundset differs from our other soundsets in a couple of ways:

1. The soundset is made only from a single hardware instrument.
Our first "High Quality Soundset" is of the highly
rated Yamaha FS1r, 8 operator FM synthesizer,
considered by many to be the ultimate FM synthesizer.

2. The soundset is made only of high-quality multisamples.
This means that the size of the
soundset is much bigger than previous ones, but we
think the extra quality in reproducing the instrument makes it worth it!

As a result of the increased size of this soundset (230Mb so far!), we
are looking only for beta-testers with broadband connections, as the
entire soundset will have to be downloaded.

Oh, this sounds terrific! And adding the "High Quality" label is a great way to approach the market. I have fast DSL and obviously slow, late, way too late, dq'd timing on my part!

How about pricing? About the same as the other sound sets?

Also, I hope you will have a download purchase option.
Many users do have a dsl or cable connection.

this is a great idea. the sample quality on fk2 was so bad i didn't bother with fk3 which was a pity as i'm a huge fan of eve.

but this one looks very promising indeed.

Strangely enough, I couldn't find any mention of this synth at vintagesynth.com. Was it an early Yamaha FM?
How does it relate to a DX7?
