I understand that in Drum Pad Mode:
1) MD is in notes only mode.
2) I can see which drums are playing.
3) I can audition them with velocity.
4) I can jump to the edit screen for any chosen drum.
5) I can drop my own samples onto the pads.
Is there anything else?
Am I right in thinking that given the limitation of clicking one pad at a time (with noticeable latency) that the pads are not intended to be used in any performance sense?

You are generally right. The mode is simply for those who do not use the rhythm system. For realtime using you need MIDI of course.

Right, midi, I get it now, so I could hook up my MPC500 and watch the pads dancing!MeldaProduction wrote:You are generally right. The mode is simply for those who do not use the rhythm system. For realtime using you need MIDI of course.
