just drop some Google maps in it and see if you run out of soundsNumanoid wrote:Kind of regret that I didn't get Harmor, but in a way I'm happy too.
If everybody is buying it, that sound is going to be all over the place, and quickly get dated?
Which Image-Line plugins would you get? (end of the world sale)

Naaah, most of the people who bought it are going to resynthesize Diva sounds with it anyway, so no chance that it will get dated.Numanoid wrote:Kind of regret that I didn't get Harmor, but in a way I'm happy too.

I hope I didn't make Harmor to have "a sound".If everybody is buying it, that sound is going to be all over the place, and quickly get dated?
The sound of the presets is the one of the ones who made the presets. A lot still has to be discovered, especially since we haven't touched the resynthesis/image editing part yet (both for installer size & copyright reasons).

Hey Tony! Great work!tony tony chopper wrote:I hope I didn't make Harmor to have "a sound".

As far as installer size goes: I would happily download 5 GB
What are the copyright reasons?
If it has a "sound", it's very clear and enjoyable. The resynthesis is extremely well done.
The main thing I really miss is an easier way to see all modulation routings in a kind of matrix.
I look forward to the further evolution of this great synth!
Cheers,
Tom

When you ask artists to make presets and they rely on samples/external data, you can never be 100% sure that it's "their own". Sometimes it's their own, sometimes it's a lie, sometimes they consider it their own because they sampled it themselves or edited it a lot. So to be safe..What are the copyright reasons?
Also we couldn't put 5GB in FL's installer, although for the VSTi version there's more room indeed.
We have a dedicated forum alreadyA repository of Harmor of more image resynthesis presets would be great. I constantly feel like there's a lot of tricks I miss.

It's official for me, Harmor is UNBELIEVABLE, I gotta get it asap! (edit: bought!
)
I can't believe I didn't notice it from the start, when it was released (oh yeah, didn't really gave it a chance cause I didn't find the envelope time modulation, which it has btw
and meh... some other stuff )
...
(yup, just load an osc timbre into the filter ... and ... you get a different one for the resonance too??!
How about the phaser? maybe I could trick it to do FM too.
)
Don't forget to switch to a higher precision when playing with heavy stuff.
Anyway, my point is: give Harmor a chance.. and another one if you think you don't like it, especially if you're a sound designer.
Gol, congrats, I applaud your efforts on Harmor!
Can anyone help me fake filter phase response too? ...maybe it's too obvious and I don't notice it.
