Hello,

just got my self a bcr 2000 with the LC xmu software with Logic 9 and trying to wrap my head around this great product.
I would like to have a preset or know how to make one were the controller gets led feedback were if I would change a preset the controller shows the correct value without jump .

could someone provide a preset or help how to setup Diva to communicate with my controller properly .

kind regards

and thx in advance for any kind of help :)

You might want to try the latest betas... they publish parameter changes after a preset change. This works well in Maschine, so I guess it'll work well in Automap and hopefully in other such environments.

Oh, wow! Missed that completely! I'll try it with Automap later today!

Thanks!

I can't help much with DIVA or the LC XMU software on Mac (read: Logic even), but I do have a BCR myself.

Important is that you have both the input/output connected if you go through MIDI, though with USB you shouldn't have any problems (unless you messed with the routing). I think however, that you have to program your BCR to correctly respond to the Mackie Emulation software. For this, I think you need to either load a SYSEX dump (should be possible with the LC XMU software) or set up your hardware according to needs.

The rest should be fairly simple: either create a MIDI map according to available MIDI CC numbers for DIVA, or use a learn function (if available). If everything is setup correctly, the only jump of controls you're getting, is if you switch through presets. Else, the LED rings should respond as needed.

Or... hunt downt he BCR/BCF group on YahooGroups and try to find presets for DIVA there. There's also a tad better help available.

Basically I use my BCR with Cubase's own Generic Remote system and have two presets on the last two programs of my BCR for 7bit and 14bit rotary knob needs (there are threads on that at the YahooGroup). But then again, this is custom on my end, and I barely control VSTi with it but plugins.

I hope I could lead you towards the right direction regardless.

I used the BCF with Logic in Mackie mode (here it's natively built in, unlike the BCR) and it worked up and down. Then again, didn't control VST/VSTi (or AU for that matter) yet again.

I can't go much more in-depth, since I'm basically a Win/Cubase user, not a Mac/Logic one.
