Hi, what time of the year is the cheapest to buy Zebra? Considering there's a v3 release planned for some time next year, would it make sense to wait till then?

Anytime. There are no sales/discounts. Buy now and the upgrade will be reasonable, I suspect.

Nice one, no sales - I like that. A dev that respects its own software.
Sales are nothing but a slap in a customers face who paid full price.
Will get it some time soon then. Thanks.

You can save $50.00 with U-he's Dinosaur Crossgrade: http://www.u-he.com/cms/zebra2-dinosaur-crossgrade. I think the price of Zebra 3 may be higher than Zebra 2, so it might be better to get it before the new version comes out.dalor wrote:Nice one, no sales - I like that. If someone developer finds themselves in desparate need for cash,
and a sale is forced, it does not diminish the value previous
customers AGEED to purchase. They got what they paid for,
and will live longer by creating music, rather than hosting
hostility, and envying others who, by circumstantial good fortune,
pay less. The dev means no harm, and even those who have sales
on a regular basis, are just trying to cover costs, keep
the business alive, or even just minimize losses on a practice
they love partaking in. There is no inherant evil in keeping
a business alive.

BTW I think Zebra Dinosaur Crossgrade discount isn't so logical at the current time. IMHO DIVA Dinosaur Crosscrade would be more logical.
As for Zebra, there could be some sort of Zebra VA Crossgrade (i. e. Access Virus retired & Replaced by Zebra. Or K-Station, Supernova etc.)

As time goes by, more and more hardware synths become valid "dinosaurs".

Yes. I just meant that Zebra is appropriate replacement for VA, whereas analogue gear is better to replace with DIVA.

Maybe you're over-thinking this?trance_lucent wrote:Yes. I just meant that Zebra is appropriate replacement for VA, whereas analogue gear is better to replace with DIVA.
