One thing that's messed me up about the new JRR website is that I have to scroll down to see the automatic discount. Don't get me wrong, it's better, I'm just not used to it. Also, you don't enter the FORUM or GROUP codes anymore, right? But, you do have to enter SOFTWARE30 or HARDWARE20 for those particular items? Now I've got myself confused again.

Only the GROUP coupon code gets entered automatically, everything else, including FORUM, must be entered manually. The cool thing is this means you can now mix Group Buy items with non-Group Buy items, you'll automatically receive the 15% Group Buy discount and then you can enter the FORUM coupon code to get 10% off everything else.

Failing miserably to install a demo of Supertap; created an account, downloaded the v9 malarky, think I've added the license ok... now what? What is the actual plugin dll? All the dlls I can find are deemed invalid by whatever host I try so....?

I just bought SuperTap. Registered as a new Waves customer, received PayPal and Waves Store receipts (no license numbers in these emails...), installed Waves License Center and now that Licence Center says that I have no licenses... WTF?! I send an email to waves. What a joke...

You have to install the Waves license thingy even to try the demos. It can be a pita getting it all up and running and you have to log in to license center every time you want to activate a plugin (well i do). I'm trying to get the demo but i cannot, can't even tell if there is one as it's not in the waves demo center. I think i have to run WILO and select from there but i really don't know.

@GaryG did you have select it during Waves License installation and did you open License center after and enable it?

Just wanted to finish up with a couple of thoughts:

(a) Following the guidance here I got a great price on SuperTap from JRR
(b) Following Waves' instructions it's easy enough to install (if a bit long-winded)
(c) The plug does indeed (of course!!!) sync to my DAW
(d) After a quick play it's a lot of fun and for me, well worth the money.

Got Tap and Q10, nice and quick way, both registered within 2
minuttes at my waves-account, I save installation til later,
(building new DAW right now), got AudioTrak and Oneknob also.

First Waves-stuff for me, I don't understand yet about a usb-
stick being used to install, if it is just to "transfer" the
license, or if it can work as a dongle,..

Got it, I see your latest blast emphasizes this. If permanent, it does sort of render some of your sig obsolete, though. Thanks for finally letting us sort by price. Yes, I'm a cheapskate and will buy stuff I don't need or even want, if the deal is good enough.

Q-10 is great. For $9, it's hard to pass on it, especially if you do a lot of surgical EQ'ing.

Concerning the clutter - don't most app allow you to manage which plug-ins show up and don't show up and/or automatically sort mono and stereo plug-in according to context (for example, in Logic, the mono version of each Waves plug will only show up when you're working on a mono track and the opposite for stereo plug-ins)?

The Supertap is interesting. There are not so many multitap-delays and I like the Waves more than eg. the multitap by PSP. For $9 a no-brainer.

the usb-stick act like a dongle, you have to leave it plugged all the time - otherwise your waves plugins dont show up in your DAW.
