Strangely enough, I couldn't find any mention of this synth at vintagesynth.com. Was it an early Yamaha FM?
How does it relate to a DX7?
DX7+2 extra operators+formant filters

Hummm, strange to hear that, since all other users so far told me that the quality of the presets are very good. :P

Also, keep in mind one thing. Most sounds in FK2 and FK3 are from RAW Waveforms that don't have multi-samples on the original hardware, so how could I create multi-samples from gears that don't have those?

Anyway, I will release soon a DEMO version of all 3 FK volumes so users can test properly before buying...

Best Regards, WilliamK

Ah! :)

Sort of DX7 ++!
Thanks. Looks like I was thinking about 10-15 years earlier, like the original DX7. This baby is fairly recent-6 years old or so.

so ? i'm saying i thought they were poor which doesn't necessarily deserve a "razz" from you. i think most of your fan club has never owned the original gear, so doesn't know what we're really comparing this to ...

who mentioned multisamples ? but you're right in one respect: the choice of synths & waveforms meant that the soundsets themselves were the essence of the problem.

yes it at the limit to be vintage, <grin>

but as you read by those link it's really a powrfull machine:

"Mistake number one is to assume that the FS1R is 'just another FM synth.' In reality, although the unit can do 'traditional' FM, that's really only one part of what it's designed for. With significant new synthesis technologies such as Formant Sequencing, immensely more powerful operators, resonant filters, and flexible effects, the FS1R is a brand-new instrument worthy of consideration on its own merits, not just as a re-release of an old favorite. "

"you can combine formant shaping and FM synthesis, opening doors to a new world of sounds"

Please also have one big file for those of us with high speed internet. It's a lot easier when you don't have to keep downloading several files. Load one file, let it download! :D

I had forgotten about this set and was thinking of getting Sytrus. This might be a good alternative since am only an occcasional FM synth user. This set might well be quite enough. Not to mention $130 cheaper! :D

Post

ok it could be a 6x50 MB download or a 3x100,

do I really have to upload it in two split versions?, <grin>

Post

3x100 is ok by me

Post

error by me, the soundSets do are 300 MB
but the installer compresses them,

so the size will be less than 170 MB,

possibly 3 files split 50+50+70, ok?

Post

cool with me

...and the latest word on them is ...What????
