Any thoughts on the $9 Waves pluggies (year end special)?

First Waves-stuff for me, I don't understand yet about a usb-
stick being used to install, if it is just to "transfer" the
license, or if it can work as a dongle,..

You have a computer symbol as well to choose install it on the computer disk.

If you work on multiple computers, flash memory options is excellent.

You can also move these from computer to flash memory stick later - if in doubt now.

Sorted, i had to install the sound design bundle.

Cheers, I think I've activated the license ok (shows in the connected devices panel), it's where to find the plugin that's now got me stumped. I can see dlls in the c:\program files\waves\plugins etc but even adding that path to my hosts vst folder list doesn't work (either crashes or says another dll can't be found).

Way too much work for a $9 plug.

I think you should let the DAW scan the Waveshell V9.x, though I'm not wavesexpert..

IMO the Waves License Center is really good. I prefer it over the old ilok.

Only the GROUP coupon code gets entered automatically, everything else, including FORUM, must be entered manually. The cool thing is this means you can now mix Group Buy items with non-Group Buy items, you'll automatically receive the 15% Group Buy discount and then you can enter the FORUM coupon code to get 10% off everything else.

I keep getting "Coupon code FORUM not valid" when I try to enter it at checkout for Renn Axx. Does it not apply to this (or any) sale items?

Also, can it only be used once per account?

Yeah it's the waveshell.dll, if that scans or you enable it all the waves plugins you installed should show up but if that crashes or won't scan you're outta luck, i try the demos first if i can just to make sure they run!

Has it been added? I get that but the discount is already applied.

That's because the GROUP coupon code is being automatically applied. Only one coupon code can be used at a time on a single item and the GROUP discount is bigger than the FORUM discount. If you add something additional to your cart that's NOT in the Group Buy section of our site, the FORUM coupon code will then provide the 10% discount on that.

Ummm, it seems that there's been some confusion because some seem to be equating a flash stick with an iLok.

The new Waves licensing does NOT use iLok which is an entire system of license management and storage.

The new Waves licensing system now lives wherever you put it: Your desktop, portable hard drive or flash stick. The advantage to a flash stick is that you can take it anywhere you want to use it(kind of LIKE an iLok, but NOT an iLok).

If, like me, your whole system lives in one place, you can just put it on your hard drive and you're all set.
