It proves that the problem wasn't with my midi cables, USB cables, computer hardware, musical keyboard or software synthesizers.SaganTech wrote:That does not prove anything.Torchlight wrote:I played the same synths a few minutes later in Ableton Live without problems.

Actually no, it could be a loose cable or user error.Torchlight wrote:It proves that the problem wasn't with my midi cables, USB cables, computer hardware, musical keyboard or software synthesizers.SaganTech wrote:That does not prove anything.Torchlight wrote:I played the same synths a few minutes later in Ableton Live without problems.

What will be the deal for old users? I am in version 6.x and I have not using it much, because, as others told, I thing the GUI needs an "extreme makeover", but >I would like to keep it updated, just in case.

All 6.x users can get the upgrade price and with a CC the coupon in addition (apparently paypal is not working right with coupons at the moment).

You can get the upgrade from our store as long as your email is registered in our database. If your email has changed then there would be no way you could have received a notification. If you send an email to info at sagantech.biz you can get this sorted.fmr wrote:Get where? I didn't receive any notification. And the loose cable somehow magically corrected itself without my intervention in the intervening few minutes?SaganTech wrote:Actually no, it could be a loose cable or user error.Torchlight wrote:It proves that the problem wasn't with my midi cables, USB cables, computer hardware, musical keyboard or software synthesizers.SaganTech wrote:That does not prove anything.Torchlight wrote:I played the same synths a few minutes later in Ableton Live without problems.
The quality of your response to the report of my experience confirms my impression that this is not a product worth investing $300 in.

Isn't Diversion Windows only? How did you get to play it in Mac OS?Torchlight wrote:A Macbook Air, a Korg Microkey 61 and various plugins, including Diversion, Strobe (DCAM Synth Squad) and Sylenth1.SaganTech wrote:I don't ever get stuck notes with over 500 different plug-ins. Very nice product imo. Quick download and install and (from what I can tell so far anyway) a rather well developed midi feature set.
Seems to be more of a midi sequencer / personal production workstation than a post production (mixing) product. I don't yet see a way (granted, we always miss some stuff at first) to import more than one audio file at a time nor do I yet see a way to edit automation envelopes for audio tracks. At first glance (with the above '...I haven't really rtfm yet..." caveat in mind) the automation system seems really, really basic.
From a midi sequencer point of view it was nice to see the old - and very workflow friendly imo, mmv - Cubase VST style layout on the arrange tracks where everything is right there on the track. The arrange page layout reminds me a lot of Cubase VST, and I mean that in a good way, being able to just look across 24 midi tracks and see everything you need to see all at once... and hide those panes at will. Very nice.
Dare I suggest that nobody has really improved on that good basic standard layout yet for midi tracks... as relates to information and access, not even Cubase which moved away from it for some reason with SX.
Nice product.
