Wasn't Metro Cakewalk at some point?

The original name of Metro was Beyond, and was released under the Dr. T's label. It was subsequently relleased as Metro under OSC (of Deck fame), and later went with Cakewalk (in a surprising move, at least for me).
You'd be surprise with what I know about you. BTW - I would rather being offered the upgrade to Metro 7, since I alrready have version 6.

I'm currently testing Metro 7 and I have a couple of questions:
1. How can I get Metro to see my 64 bit plugins. I do not have any 32 bit plugins in my setup, so it would be a no go for me if it didn't support 64 bit.
2. How do I get Metro to preview and load my Rex samples?
3. How do I map the physical faders, knobs, knobs on my MIDI keyboard to Metro's mixer and have that as the default setup for all new projects? It seems that when I map a fader, I have to do so all over again for each new project I create. Please tell me I'm doing something wrong here.
Thanks.

I PMed you. I will noiw e-mail to info, as instructed. Anyway, I reinstate that I Am already a Metro 6 (full) licensee, therefore, I would rather receive an upgrade from Metro 6 to Metro 7, if that's possible.SaganTech wrote:Congratulations fmr you have won a Metro 7 SE. You need to configure Metro to look for your plug-ins in the VST pane of the preferences dialog. You then need to either restart Metro or from the plug-ins menu of the plug-ins window, select 'Rescan plug-ins'summer2000 wrote:I'm currently testing Metro 7 and I have a couple of questions:

Metro does not load Rex samples. You will need to use a third party plug-in like Stylus RMXsummer2000 wrote:2. How do I get Metro to preview and load my Rex samples?
What hardware are you using? I think you can either create a remote control preset and select 'persist' in the remote control window or perhaps once your mixer is setup the way you want, save preferences.summer2000 wrote: 3. Thanks for the quick reply.
I was able to figure out how to load the 64bit plugins shortly after submitting my original post.
Bummer about the rex samples but that's not a big deal as I do own Stylus RMX.
My workstation keyboard is an Openlabs Neko LX5 so any insight you can provide on how to set it up with Metro would be greatly appreciated.
Also what is the price (US $) of the full Metro 7 version with the KVR discount you're offering? If I can get all of my questions and concerns ironed out I may be interested in purchasing a license.
Thanks

That is a very interesting looking controller. Unfortunately we do not have a preset for that keyboard. If you are technically inclined you could build your own preset for it and I would be glad to help you in any way I can. It would probably be a fair amount of work though. If Openlabs would be willing to send me a loaner I would have no problem creating a preset for it myself. Do you want me to contact them?summer2000 wrote: My workstation keyboard is an Openlabs Neko LX5 so any insight you can provide on how to set it up with Metro would be greatly appreciated.

That is a good price indeed. I'm sill trying to understand the basics of Metro and reading the online manual to make sense of it all. Metro is very deep as far as I can see. Hopefully I can learn enough using the demo before the sale price is expired.

Please send an email to info at sagantech.biz for more info on remote control presets. Thanks.summer2000 wrote: I am techie inclined if I say so myself. I was able to create MIDI mappings for Reason, Reaper, and Studio One. If you could point me to the data files I would need to edit that would be helpful. Also it would be great if you could get in touch with Openlabs to see if they could support Metro.

- Is the SE version still limited to 16 bit mixdown?
- Humanize midi in SE?
- 8 sections only in SE?
- Is there a Windows version of Metro 7 LX?
I used Metro 2.5 for many years on my Mac, and I still haven't found anything as intuitive as your "Sections" parts management.

Yes. Metro SE is basically a starting point. Since you could upgrade SE->LX and then LX->Full and still pay the same amount as if you had just bought the full version, it is a way to get in and see if this what you want without spending a lot of money.johnrule wrote:- Is the SE version still limited to 16 bit mixdown?
No.johnrule wrote:- Humanize midi in SE?

Not yet. If there is demand for it, it could be done.johnrule wrote:- Is there a Windows version of Metro 7 LX?
Thanks, I agree.johnrule wrote:I used Metro 2.5 for many years on my Mac, and I still haven't found anything as intuitive as your "Sections" parts management.
