Oh, this hurts. Now I want to buy another IL product, but what?

Gross Beat and Groove Machine really interest me. Sakura I wanted, but the demo presets just don't impress me at all. Morphine - same thing, just not rocked by it and I have so many similar synths. Drumaxx looks cool, but I have many products EXACTLY like it.

Oh what to do, what to do????

It was me asking

The major difference according to users at IL forums is that Edison can record while Slicex can be used as a VST using your keyboard to play the slices. Watching some videos on youtube I came to the conclusion that both of them are quite a great pair so I got them both. I never wanted to pay for Recycle and so for $90 got more than I whished for.
Yes, Morphine left me completely cold. Maybe few years back was OK, but Harmor is stunning and fast.

Add:
I just started using Drumaxx again and between Microtonic and Drumaxx I'm having pretty much what I need.
Not much use for RMV lately. Just another phase of my music.

I feel your pain. Image-Line have worked out to the last penny what every person has left and a method to extract it from them that works every time. They are almost like the government

Mike, you're a sound designer - have you checked out the right click menu in Edison? Maybe you already own it or use something else that is the be all and end all to you. But I would have thought you could make some serious creative use of that menu with all its options. Can't help you with any synth decisions, coz tools are where it's at for me at the moment.

As for RMV, I tend to use it more as a drum rompler coz it has some very interesting beats and grooves in its big preset library. It might not be everyone'e cup of tea, but I love it. Drumaxx is a really great plugin and very malleable. If it wasn't so late in the day, I might try to 'stick' a joke in there

I see what you mean about Edison and Slicex - they compliment beatifully. It is almost as if these Image-Line boys have thought about what they are doing beforehand, then rather sneakily executed their plan flawlessly. Cunning.

I just put a dnb beat into Slicex and there was such instant tweakability there that I swear it was almost as if I felt the electricity at the end of my finger tips. But I was probably just imagining it.

I'll get Drumaxx later. I am drowning in plugins. I started on Instruments and then I moved onto effects. Now I'm on the tools. Same old story.
There's nowhere left for me go now after this.
I'm in the last-stop saloon at the end of the vstaholic train track.

As for software synthesis of drum sounds in real time, I just bought <cough> Trauma </cough> sorry, Tremor. I am looking forward to registering it sometime this year, if all goes according to plan

. It likes to be fed, by the looks of it whilst Drumaxx and Microtonic are light snackers in comparison.

So looks like Ediison and Sclicex it is. I'm so snowed under do you know I didn't even know that Edison can be re-sized and when I found out it was Standalone too, I was sold.

First off, quite obviously I did NOT make the skins, but you all knew that anwyay, so I didn't explicitly express it.

Right, yes you could use photoshop - I have a very old copy - 6 I think. But I just use an amazing program called 'Paint.Net' It's like photoshop without the bull**** and without the bull**** of finding an untainted download. Search on Google and ye shall fine. It does pretty much everything needed for touching up your graphics quickly. Did I mention it is free?

You want to take the selection tool and (this is what I did) and select the different rectangles (you can see how roughly I did this) to apply the hue and saturation to. Adjust to taste. If you need any extra help just pm me and I'll explain in a bit more detail, so as not to hijack the thread

. Backup your original first of course. Paint.Net (silly name I know) is very small, efficient and fast. I looked long and hard for alternatives. It is incredibly powerful and easy to use (if you have used photoshop before).

Tremor is powerful but I am no longer purchasing dongle or C/R products.
I change so many omputer due to my profession that it's just impossible and can't go around the world always worrying about loosing a fortune on my dongle, beside the regular problems they generate.

Tomorrow I will try your Harmor skins.

Well, the more time I spend with Morphine, the more I like it. It has enough freedom to not feel limited. The GUI design and simplicity are really very inviting to make one's own presets.
The sound can be nice if you spend enough time. It can be a very nice sound especially if you use external effects/filters with it. (After all it is not only about the sound

)

I had the demos of other instruments/FL Studio and I like their effects/tools (I might buy FL Studio in the future) but I only liked Harmor, Sytrus and Morphine as instruments.

He he he = of course I use Edison. I bought it seconds after its initial release. I LOVE that tool.

This is true especially there are some people don't like to spend the time in programming their own presets.

Which Image-Line plugins would you get? (end of the world sale)
