This synth got a lot of attention when it was released, but has it gone a bit out of vogue now? Not mentioned often...
I like it, but I just wish the GUI would be bigger, I need to sit close to the screen to read the text on the hood.

I think it's easy to get drowned out with all the other plugins out there. Since Phonec is more of an obscure synth with a particular sound, it might only generate pockets of interest rather than appealing to everyone. But it's a synth that I really enjoy using in my own music and am constantly thinking of new ways to improve it, so you will definitely hear about updates from time to time.Numanoid wrote:This synth got a lot of attention when it was released, but has it gone a bit out of vogue now? In fact I have one planned for release in the next coming weeks. And it's quite an interesting update because Phonec will have the ability to be used as an effect, allowing you to 'melt' any sound you run through it. So stay tuned.
I like the idea of a small GUI, but I have had a few complaints about the text. So it's possible that I might eventually include an alternate GUI.I like it, but I just wish the GUI would be bigger, I need to sit close to the screen to read the text on the hood.

Well, I don't mention it because I use it!jack [psychicmodulation] wrote:I think it's easy to get drowned out with all the other plugins out there. Phonec as an effect? Now I'm intrigued...

That's such a great idea to make this into an effect, too! This synth has a ton of character. Looking forward to the next update. . .

Just want to point everyone to a quick tutorial I put together on how to use Phonec as an effect in Ableton Live. I'm basically running impOSCar through Phonec to utilize the Melt function:

If you can, let me know which presets. It'll help me figure it out. I'd like to fix as many bugs as I can in the next update.Nielzie wrote:Nice little synth! But on some presets the amp envelope release seems to produce a tiny audible "click" on my system. Anyone else experiencing this?

Sure I can. Here are some:
Birdwatchers (clicks on env release)
Navajo (clicks on env attack and release)
Annenberg (clicks on env release)
Local Radar (when I hold down a note it keeps continuously clicking)
Submarine (clicks on env attack and release)
Basswatcher (clicks on env release)
More of them seem to click on attack (?) when playing notes fast after each other. I also get clicks when changing between presets when a preset is still playing/decaying/echoing

Hi PM
Any chance for those already owning Phonec (or other PM plugs for that matter) to getthe PM bundle at a lower price?
