No simultaneous selection. Shame, that would be nice.

Really appreciate the tips. I still think there's something different about the VCO behavior in Element than can be easily replicated by modulating the fine tuning - but I'm still wet behind the ears synth-wise and have much to learn.
Look forward to hearing your thoughts on the sound after trying it. :)

Haha...Everything Is a Remix...GUI from TAL...name from xoxos...VA style sound from vsti_1, vsti_2, vsti_3 and vsti_n+1

I don't know..

I skipped through the presets and came up with lots of ideas and a new song. Lots of song-worthy, not completely overboard presets as far as I can tell. It may not be impressive spec-wise compared to others but what it does, it does in a way that I like.

It won't replace any of my other synths but if this amuses the muse, why not?

That would have been my opinion until about a month ago when I first tried D16's LuSH-101. This is a new VA synth as well, but not one I would like to part with. I'm not arguing that Elements is anything special, but LuSH-101 really is, and disproves this assertion, IMO.
It's different with emulations. There's nothing wrong with doing an emulation of some classic gear to get that specific sound. Especially if you add something new to improve upon the original.

But there are ton of those generic VA synths out there, that do not have any particularly interesting feature. Elements does sound good and it's strongest point is its straightforward and simple GUI. And you even do not have to have a lot of features (i dislike those do-it-all megasynhts), but only one or two original ones to stand out. This is where it is lacking. No way I would spend 200$ bucks (or even 99$) for Elements when there are synths like ZebraCM, SynthMasterCM, Dune BE, ZTA+ BE etc just laying around (a lot of the time unused).

Quite surprising actually, but the world does not need another VA! :x
i don't see it that way... if it's good, it's more than welcome... there can't be enough va's, imo...

anyone got the pc installer for the demo they want to send over? (as waves are impossible to contact via email)
You have to donwload and install de Waves Online Installer, and select Element, it will update your licenser. It's very confusing...

If you have an iLok it's pretty easy... if not, well you probably don't need it anyway! :)

I read this whole thread and I think 90% of the people posting have not even tried the synth yet. I think I read 2 posts that actually commented on the synth by people who tried it.

I can look at the features and listen to the audio demos and draw some conclusion from that (nothing new here)
