in the thread poll it does specify that only the filter would be emulated ("303" filters")
still seems many ppl want it in this thread...and it is quite popular in eurorack form too.

btw not sure how accurate the doepfer one is...also it describes it without esitation as a 18db filter.
http://www.doepfer.de/a103.htm

so maybe just a simple 18db switch to the current moog ladder would suffice without bothering with a new GUI element etc. just a quick addition.

Exactly... beware the 303 zealots!

No, but Urs himself said it's one of the more interesting sounding filters he has available, so maybe it'll be good for other things.

Still, after watching that Oberheim 8 Voice video, I'm changing my vote.

Thanks for proving my point. ;)

Nice!

P.s. but awrybody must take in to account that in vote option in this thread we have "Oberheim OB-X" , but in that video is totaly different synthesizer "Oberheim 8 voice" which consist of mainframe with 8 Oberheim SEM modules, like this one they started to maje them ones again http://tomoberheim.com/

I would much rather see a Proper Prophet5 emulation though..

It would be nice if Andy from Cytomic could partner up with U-he and offer his filter modules to DIVA.

I love the filters already in DIVA but man his Sallen key modules are incredible!!

I don't think anyone's taking the poll that seriously.

ps it's 'everybody' not 'awrybody'. ;)

I couldn't agree more !

keep in mind that's a doepfer filter. not the real deal.
i'm sure if urs adds a 303 u'll love it. it's a thing of pleasure the nasal creaky but still warm tones u can get from turning up the resonance with the cutoff sitting midway on some sweet spots(and that's where all software has failed so far- the filter!) and u don't need any sequencer quirk to enjoy the filter...i remember even on just sustained saws it melted my heart.
and a 303 filter might cover maybe also the filters in 2 other classics :system100/101 and ems ems vc3 which used similar designs (although i'm looking up some info now and it's a bit confusing-maybe someone who can read schematics can shed some light :help:)

Look at Baby Steps http://www.youtube.com/uheplugins sec 15. Howie enables the Sequencer which is then played (key transposed) by the Arpeggiator. The Sequencer records ties, velocity, "rests" and even chords. If we manage to add clever controls this should surpass 101 and 303.
Wait.

Does this seem to imply what I think it seems to imply? :-o

I'll be happy whatever we're given.

A 303 filter wouldn't be my first choice. The difference between the Roland style filters in Diva is subtle and I suspect that may be the case with the 303 - though I could be wrong.

I would love a full 303 emulation, but that's not likely to happen in Diva.

I'd get that looked at if I were you. ;)

The differences between the Studio Electronics ATC filters are subtle, even more subtle than the differences between DIVA's filters, yet one is always clearly better than the others depending on the type of sound. For example, the 2600 is my favorite for sharp leads and sequenced parts and the SEM is my favorite for smooth basses and soft leads.

Yep, I once owned an ATC.
