Yep, it definitely needs that. Just being able to draw notes that span cells would be best IMO. So quarter notes in a sea of 16ths will be instantly recognizable, and everything would be a note per note basis.ezelkow1 wrote:along with that, some sort of tie option. Either a row below the length selector or an alt+click option on the gate tab. Unless Im missing something I didnt see any way to do note ties
Cthulhu looks interesting.

That's why i'm waiting to try it, already got a few plugins that do similar things. Are there any more videos or demos of Cthulhu?braj wrote:Regarding the chorder, I do think it is very cool how you can write in chords and see how notes that you add affect the chord voicing. So if you are looking to make something a 9th for instance, you can just add a note then move it around, trying different positions while hearing how it affects the arpeggiation.
The massively cool thing for me with this plugin is the smooth workflow. I could have done what this does with a couple other plugins, but they wouldn't work as well together or really give good 'feng shui' for quick adjustments when experimenting with progressions. It is a good marriage of related functionality

Anyhow as it is it is a great arp and a solid first string utility in my little toolbox.
alt-click at the top of the note selection graph, a green arrow will appear which ties the step you clicked on to the next.

Yes, just hit record and it will print to the record-enabled track.reliablex wrote:does anyone know if it is possible to 'print' the midi data from Cthulhu on a midi track in Logic Pro ?

Not using Logic anymore (I'm on DP and sometimes Live), but I'd imagine you just select the IAC MIDI bus that Cthulhu sends on as input to a MIDI track and hit Record.reliablex wrote:does anyone know if it is possible to 'print' the midi data from Cthulhu on a midi track in Logic Pro ?
Anyway, that's how it works in DP 7.

If it were easy, anybody could do it!

Today I bought this and Rolodecks Pro and I haven't even looked at Rolodecks. I'm not sure about the chord section - i guess i need to RTFM again but the Arp section is fabulously responsive.

DiscoDSP Corona has an excellent built in arp that also outputs to midi.
