Good news from the developer of Glass Viper today, quote:

" You'll be happy to hear that Glass Viper is being updated to be able to load and save preset banks, and all 256 presets will be saved in a bank. Also 64 bit versions will be available at the same time. It should be available in a couple of weeks, and if you want news then please subscribe to the news-letter on the top of the home page: www.quikquak.com "

Great news on all accounts. The preset management feature is sorely needed IMO. Also really happy to have this one 64 bit compatible too.

I'm having an issue with Glass Viper in Cubase 6 and I'm wondering if anyone else is having this problem...

When I choose one of Luftrum's presets, save, then reload the project, the preset info is not saved with the project, so I need to load the preset all over again.

That can be a pain if I don't rename the track before I save (well, that's just a good habit to do that, but still).

Is the update coming up supposed to deal with this issue, too?

Thanks!

P.S. I just bought your Luftrum: Ambient set for Alchemy, too. Just beautiful! A great use for their $15 gift to us! :)

It's a pleasure to annonce that Glass Viper is updated to 1.4 and the update includes a long awaited save/load soundbank option.

* 64 bit for Windows and Mac OSX.
* Bank loading and saving.
* Clearer user interface, with pixel fonts, higher contrasts, and larger display panel.
* A wipe option for clearing all the presets to simple defaults. Useful for building banks from scratch.

Just got your bank FXP, Luftrum, thanks! It's nice to load all patches in one go but it seems the banks are padded with blank "Param Reset xx" patches. That seems like quite a waste of space. Plus it's impossible to have more than one patch in memory and it's hard to build your own banks without that.

While I appreciate the updated, in the end I think Glass Viper could benefit from a preset handling overhaul allowing several banks to be in memory as well as more comprehensive tools for bank re-organization.

I reported this to QuikQuak over a year ago. Glass Viper doesn't handle presets in a way that is friendly to Cubase or Nuendo. There was mention at the time that a fix was forthcoming, but nothing was done about it.

As per my other post, IMO GV desperately needs a proper preset handling implementation.

Wow - GV has been a 'maybe' synth for awhile but it sounds more like a no-brainer thanks to this.

Good news! Glass Viper (or Cubase 7) is handling presets properly now! I can actually save a preset in my project and it will open properly when I close Cubase 7 and open it again. :)

Yay! I can finally use this synth and this fantastic soundset in my projects! :tu:

Glass Viper is on my radar, I guess I'm waiting for a sale to happen someday :D

$55 is a bit too much for this plug which now is over 5 years old.
