hi, everybody! When I do the song - at me gradually starts braking the graphic
interface. Movement on the screen difficult and slowly. When I press approach
- everything works very slowly. It is shown when in Mulab many tracks. Indicator of loading of the processor of 40 - 50%The problem in my videocard - RADEON 9200 can?

Go to audio setup and set the Num Audio Threads to 1 less than now so to make sure the UI has its own threadIt's a normal side effect of the multi-core audio engine. If you want a quick snappy user interface (UI) then go to Audio Setup and decrease the Num Audio Processing Threads by 1 so to make sure the UI always has its own processing thread. So it's a balance you can choose for yourself: More audio power or more UI power.

Thanks! Where to adjust it? Audio Setup - It in the Mulab program? I have no such settings. in Audio Setup At me -
Audio Driver Type
Audio Driver Name
Samplerate
Select Inputs Select Outputs Control Panel
% CPU Load Limit

There are more no parameters. My processor doesn't support these functions? -
AMD Athlon XP 2500+

Oh so you're using MuLab 4 right?
In that case i don't know what causes the UI to be slowed down when doing a lot of audio unless you're on an old single core computer. Is that the case? What are the system specs?

Post

yes - Mulab 4.5.1
My system:
Athlon XP 2500+
1500Gb RAM
Radeon 9200
WinXp

Post

Wow 1500GB RAM! That's an amazing amount of memory

Post

oh sorry:) 1500Mb Ram - 1.5GB

Post

I'm sorry but i have no explanation. Maybe something system specific? Maybe others have ideas on this? Maybe also post this question in the Computer Setup forum: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=16

PS: Additional thought: Are you using VST plugins that do multi-core processing, like for example UHE's plugins? If yes then that can be the cause.

That Athlon is a old budget single core, time for an upgrade perhaps?

I don't use U-He in this song.
I opened windows task manager - when move or copy parts in Mulab loading of the processor makes 100% (CPU USAGE)
I thought of updating of the computer but I plan to make it later. Many programs perfectly work at this processor

Post

If that's indeed a single core processor (can't immediately find confirmation, but it's certainly an older rather slow cpu) then that explains things. You need a faster cpu if you want to generate/process more audio and meanwhile have a quick UI.
