I found it really useful to have a small keyboard attached to the plugin to see what note is pressed.
I use this with HALion 4 and it is a lifesaver when you want to learn a new program.
HALion 4 use triggerpads for chords (and keyswitched sounds)and by pressing on the triggerpad a chord is visible, than it also visible when you use a keyboardcontroller keyboard

You mean like the one at the top of the screen in MuLab? Does the host you use not have one?
They do come in handy - a keyboard module in MuX might be useful generally for trying things out.

I use Mulab and find it a little awkward getting the Virtual Keyboard to work. It's simple enough and does work but could be easier imo. Currently I open a preset from the rack and then have to R-click the VK to show it before it works.
Why can't it simply work when you select a preset from the rack? Is there a reason for this? But having a Keyboard Module for the Front Panel would be a good idea too.
EDIT: Btw, I'm referring to using the PC's keyboard as the input not the onscreen/virtual one. The VK works as it should when a preset is selected but doesn't work when using the default Function keys unless the above operation is performed.
EDIT 2: Closing the VK stops the Function keys working, minimising it allows to to keep working?
