DIVA Pulsewidth Modulation Question

Hi and apologies if this is the wrong forum for asking this question (where else should this be posted??).
I'm using U-He Diva (registered) rev 480, and the "Dual VCO Eco" Oscillator.
Is it possible to modulate the Pusewidth of voice 1 via LFO/Env?
I see the "Dual VCO" (non-Eco) offers Pusewidth modulation via LFO/whatever but doesn't have 2 voices as "Dual VCO Eco".
Thanks for any reply in advance.

@dalor, my understanding that was omitted from the Dual VCO Eco because the original synth (Korg MS-10/MS-20) can't do PWM either. It's possible Urs might add it in the future but for now it's simply not doable with the Eco VCO.

Found this in the MS-10 manual:
"Pulse Width is varied on the MS-10 using the PW / PWM control and any external controller patched into the PWM jack."
But in any way this would be a cool thing and I would like to have it. I love the MS-X0 modules. Though I understood that Urs wants to keep the MS panels to be the Eco mode which means to keep CPU intense stuff away from it. I forgot if he meantioned PWM in this context?

not possible ATM and adding it would add cpu which might defeat the purpose of having an eco oscillator. I do like that it uses less cpu...dalor wrote:Hi and apologies if this is the wrong forum for asking this question (where else should this be posted??).

ps - there are various environments (like Numerology) where you can modulate it if you really want to... plus you can midi learn it too and modulate it by hand

Thanks guys for your replies!
@bmrzycki/chacka: That makes most sense to me. AFAIK, all the Oscillators in DIVA were modelled after hardware. If the Korg MS-10/20 can't do it, so won't DIVA.

Was just looking to do PWM with the ECO oscillators in Diva and couldn't find how to do it.. then i found this thread.dalor wrote:Thanks guys for your replies!

I've read that the MS20 can't do PWM but I have an MS10 at home and PWM is possible (there's PWM input socket). Any chance this might still be possible in the future?

I don't get the idea of adding a PWM option taking up CPU. Surely if it's off it's adding very little to the CPU footprint. And when it's on, well... PWM is AWESOME SO WHO CARES ABOUT TEH PCUZORZ!!
Plus, it's *doing* PWM when you twiddle the Pulsewidth knob, so it obviously *can* do PWM. It just needs the option to have an LFO automate it.

Perhaps... one of our MS-20s is modded with a PWM input, but it isn't great. I'll keep an eye open for an MS-10...ducelare wrote:Was just looking to do PWM with the ECO oscillators in Diva and couldn't find how to do it.. then i found this thread.dalor wrote:Thanks guys for your replies!
