Huge cpu peaks with MMultiBandHarmonizer Demo

hi!

I'm having fun and testing MMultiBandHarmonizer, and noticed some huge cpu peaks while using a modulator set on the grain size (Grain mode only, ok with Adaptive mode). My cpu goes from low to extreme highs when the modulator performs the changes on the grain size. High enough to make my session chokes even with no other active tracks, nothing else. That never happened before with any of my other plugins and tools to be honest.

I have a pretty solid setup (Mac 3.1 GHz, 8GB) and Ableton Live latest version. Is that normal? I really like MMultiBandHarmonizer so far, but these extreme cpu strikes when using a modulator on grain size are a totally a no go for me :(

Is this something you are aware of? Thanks!

I'm afraid this cannot be avoided. You can lower the modulator protection in Settings/Settings, that helps CPU a lot, but eventually the plugin has to do all the processing anyway - you have to understand that our plugins can modulate even parameters, that cannot be modulated in other software, but sometimes the CPU pays the price, that's inevitable.
If you want to modulate grain size, check out this MMultiBandGranular - that one is optimized for granular processing, so it should be better for your cause (plus a lot more features).

Thanks for the explanation. I totally understand. I'll try your tip in the settings, thanks!

I already have your BandGranular! 8) ...Love it!! But I also really like BandHarmonizer, it can do things differently and opens possibilities BandGranular can't do. Well, I still have 12 days on my demo so I'll continue to experiment and have fun then decide if it's a go. It's a cool and unique plugin!

Cheers for the support.
