Hello All
I am making the move to being 64 bit in cubase 6 and now i'm running into a problem.
All my zebra (32 bit) patches are not accessible by zebra 64 bit in cubase 6.
I either need to convert all my user presets to the h2p format so they will be accessible by zebra 64 bit or i need a way to batch convert/ import them into the new version of zebra as a vst format.
anyone have a solution? i can do it manually but argh what a daunting task as i have over 600 patches
cheers
phi

Sorry, perhaps you could try testing just changing the name to include .h2p then, if successful (still works with the new name) running a batch operation with some little helper tool.
All my patches end with .h2p so it might be deeper issue.
I opened a .h2p and it is half text... but also half code.
Are you in a PC or Mac?

Zebra 2.6 and up reads .vstpreset in its preset browser. It always read .h2p, .fxp and .aupreset - it should also be able to read .fxb banks with just 1 preset, I but can't remember.
If you use the Cubase interface... maybe you just have to move them into the right folder? What preset ending do you have?

(actually, it's possible that .vstpreset gets loaded properly from next public beta... in less than a week we hope)

Well, that is something we did months ago. I'm just not sure if it's in the current betas or notmcnoone wrote:Amazing support!Urs wrote:(actually, it's possible that .vstpreset gets loaded properly from next public beta... in less than a week we hope)

yes fantastic support. thanks for the replies everyone.
to restate; currently cubase 6 by default is saving the new presets to the same folder as the previous version of zebra (user->library->audio->presets->zebra)but they do not appear in media bay for selection in the new version of zebra. they are visible in the general media bay browser but not when accessing the presets via the instrument itself.
I have been using the .vstpreset extention - i can open zebra 2.5 save the preset as h2p. then open zebra 2.6 and access the preset via zebra's preset manager and save it as a .vstpreset and it gets placed in the same folder as the others.
As far a this functionality being available in the next beta release - that is awesome and I can get by without having to convert all my presets until then.
One last querry - One thing that is coming to mind is the backward compatibility issue. Will version 2.5 of zebra be able to open a preset that is saved by zebra 2.6? Because I am at the stage of just moving over to 64 bit and there is a window when i will need to have both versions of zebra fully functional - ie if i load a bass preset i created in 2.5 into a new project then save it from zebra 2.6. What will happen if I open an older project with zebra 2.5 instances, will the older project still load the preset correctly?
Thanks again.

phidelity, you should just be able to move your presets into Zebra's own directory and read them from within Zebra's own browser.
There shouldn't be any need to keep Zebra 2.5 when you have 2.6. Any 2.x opens any other version's presets, but settings of missing modules will be lost.
