Having a hard time using the step recorder

Hello! Congrats on the new update. Look very promising. I am actualy looking at purchasing a license.

I am just trying to figure out why the step recorder doesn't seem to work for me.

First, the notes are not showing up (and I have tweaked the monitor on draw)until the recording is stopped.

Secondly, I cannot follow the steps as the recording is just flying through...

Ideally, I would like to use spacebar or arrow to guide me through steps but I cannot make sense of my location.

Anyone please help me figure this one out ?

I just double-checked the step recorder and all is working as expected here.

What I am saying is that the left/right arrows are not stepping through the grid settings. Instead, it is simply moving from beginning to end.

Secondly, hitting some notes don't seem to get recorded.

I am sure it is some real basic operation I have overlooked...

Make sure the step recorder window is focused when you record notes. Also for using arrows left/right. If the UI focus is on another window then key presses and MIDI go to that other window. Does that explain it?

Hey thanks for your help! Got it working. That little step sequencer popup has to stay opened...I didn't realize that.

One little request though...it would be convenient to be able to visually tell my location in the steps through a highlight of some form because I kind of got lost in the measurements. The step sequencer also doesn't seem restained to the selected sequence. No biggie though.
